Ashish Vidyarthi and her newly-married wife, Rupali Barua, have proved that love knows no age. For the unversed, the duo tied the knot in an intimate court marriage on May 25, 2023. The much-in-love couple took the relationship goals to the next level. However, for those who don't know, Bollywood actor, Ashish Vidyarthi was previously married to actor, singer, and former RJ, Rajoshi Vidyarthi. The duo is blessed with a son, Arth. Now in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ashish's ex-wife has reacted to the former's marriage.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Rajoshi was asked if not announcing her and Ashish's separation was a mutual decision. To reply, she shared that it was mutual, and they are still good friends, and the long 22 years were the best part of her life. Talking about the same, Rajoshi shared:
"These 22 years were the best part of my life. If you ask him, he will probably say the same thing. He has been an amazing partner and we have travelled together for years. We had a lot of common interests. Obviously, we people are bound to have different choices too but we never had a clash because, to the core, we are quite similar. We are still the same."

Further in the interview, when asked about what happened between them and if anything that people are speculating about is true. Answering the same, Rajoshi shared that 'what he wants is different from my wants; they don’t match being married.' She further shared that what people are speculating is not true, and there was no torture or hardship. She also shared that on her professional front, she has been looking after several backend things for the last five years, and on her personal front, she has different needs now. Elaborating on the same, Rajoshi shared:
"Coming to us, there was no torture, hardship or anything as people are speculating. We are two different people. For two years we tried to go our separate paths and now he is doing great in his career. I have been looking after a lot of backend things for the last five years. In my personal life, I have different needs now. I cannot fill the goal of Mrs Vidyarthi now."
In the same interview, Rajoshi then shared that both of them decided to be separated, and there were no ugly fights between them. She also revealed that it is unfair for people to judge Ashish for cheating on her because he never did. Reflecting on the same, Rajoshi stated:
"I am going bonkers with the interpretation people are having about us. This is not fair. Ashish never cheated on me. Even if people are thinking that all he wanted was to get married again. This is completely a false narrative."

In the same interview, when asked about their divorce, Rajoshi shared that they filed a petition in October last year, which was a mutual decision. Talking about the same, she shared that she wanted to have her one identity by mentioning that Ashish never crushed the same. Rajoshi also shared that she and Ashish were seeing different futures, so they took the decision they needed to take. Rajoshi said:
"Last year in Oct we filed a petition together. No one has pushed anyone. This was completely mutual. I have spent a very long time of my life as Shakuntala Barua’s daughter and Ashish Vidyarthi’s wife. Now the time has come that I want to walk my path alone. I want my own identity and just to be clear, it wasn’t like he has ever crushed my identity. I just realised that he is seeing a different future, I am seeing a different one."
In the same interview, Rajoshi Vidyarthi was asked what she thinks about giving love a second chance. To this question, she clearly stated that 'Amar biyer dorkar nei tai ami biye korchina. Amar biyer dorkar hole amio kortam.' (She doesn't feel the need to get married, she would have done it too, if required). However, talking about Ashish's second marriage, Rajoshi shared that he needs a partner, and it is a good thing that he has found someone. Rajoshi shared:
"He needs a partner. We cannot hang a man because of his needs. He has found someone that’s a good thing."
