One of the most talented and versatile actors of the Bollywood industry, Rajkummar Rao and his actress-girlfriend, Patralekhaa, have been in a relationship for almost a decade now. Though the duo prefers to keep their relationship low-key, they never fail to give us major couple goals. Whether it is staying beside each other through the ups and downs in their careers or their personal lives, this couple has never left each other's side even for once.
After being featured as a couple in the film, CityLights, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa had also worked together in the web series, Bose: Dead/Alive. Well, it cannot be denied that their real-life chemistry is reflected on-screen, even when they are acting. However, things were not so easy in the beginning and Patralekhaa was a hard nut to crack for Rajkummar Rao as she already had her notions about him which were not very good.

Recently, Rajkummar Rao visited The Kapil Sharma Show to promote his film, Hum Do Hamare Do. During his stint on the show, the host, Kapil Sharma questioned his role in Made In China, where he had introduced the Tiger Soup so that married couples could bring pleasure in their marital life. On the other hand, his character in Hum Do Hamare Do arranges fake parents to get married. Kapil asked him the reason for playing such roles and said:
''Aapko aise offer sanyog se milte hai ki vyavahik jeevan se judi samasyaon pe aapka chehra bada suit karta hai.''
Replying to Kapil's question, Rajkummar Rao said that since he is not yet married, people want him to gain some experience beforehand. He further added that to justify a role, he has to make so many efforts and said:
Abhi tak meri shaadi nahi hui hai toh log chahte hai ki main experience ho jaaun ki kya kya problem aa sakti hai. Kya kya papad belne padte hai.''

Going further, Rajkummar shared that on their first meeting, Patralekhaa had made up her mind that he was a cheap person because of the roles he used to play on-screen and, therefore, did not talk to him much. In his words, ''Unko laga tha ki yeh aisa hi neech aadmi hai toh mujhse baat nahi kar rahi thi.'' He also talked about his perception of Patralekhaa after he saw her in an advertisement, and said, ''Kitni pyaari ladki hai, isse toh shaadi karni chahiye.''
On August 31, 2020, to mark Rajkummar Rao's 36th birthday, his girlfriend, Patralekhaa, had penned a heartfelt wish for 'the golden boy with a beautiful heart' on her IG handle. She had given a funny twist to the solo pictures of the birthday boy by referring to the viral 'Rasode Mein Kaun Tha' twist in her birthday wish for him. She had captioned the pictures as:
"Happy birthday to the golden boy with a beautiful heart. Thank you for telling me #Rasodemeinkauntha #happybirthdayrajkummarrao."

For the unversed, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are reportedly getting married in November 2021.
