Radhika Apte is a versatile actress, who has time and again awestruck the audience with her diverse and non-stereotype roles. The actress, who has often taken challenging roles in her career is often hailed for her unbiased opinions. Recently, a video of Radhika has made its way on social media, where she addressed nepotism.
A video of Radhika was shared on Reddit, where she was seen talking about the privileges of star kids, who do not have to strive their way or work hard for a film. The actress also mentioned filmmakers' take on star kids and how they hardly care whether they are capable enough for the role or at least know acting. In her words:
“Actors who want to do better their game, they have to more exercise, dress better, get clicked more, and do thingies on their faces. They don’t go for courses or for coaching, for performance you know because that’s not valued. They go like That’s a star kid, or this is a somebody being promoted by somebody, cast them, acting to karwa lenge. And then they say, actors are dumb, actors are the least, simplest thing to do. And I find it very annoying.”
As soon as the video was shared on a Reddit thread, many Reddit users reacted to the same and heaped praises on Radhika for being upfront about the partialities in Bollywood. One of the users wrote, “She's very candid, and open-minded and speaks her heart out. And doesn't give a hoot about society and system.” Another commented, “Acting tho karva Lenge is exactly why the industry is in shambles and no one except the SRKs and Sunny Deol’s and AKs cannot get block busters.”
