Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma had dated each other for 9 years and then had exchanged rings in 2017. While their wedding plans were postponed numerous times for various reasons, the couple had found resort in a court wedding. In April 2020, Puja and Kunal had announced the news of their court marriage in February 2020. The couple had embraced parenthood on October 9, 2020, by welcoming a baby boy.
Two months after the birth of their son, Puja had announced the name of their baby boy. She had posted a picture, holding her baby boy and another one with Kunal, playing with the little one. Sharing the two pictures, Puja had announced the name in the caption, which could be read as “Hare KRISHNA Om namah SHIVAY Meet our son KRISHIV VERMA @kunalrverma.”

Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma’s baby boy, Krishiv Verma celebrated his first Janmasthami and the actress shared adorable glimpses of the same. Taking to her IG handle, Puja shared two pictures with her baby boy, who was dressed as little Kanha, whereas the actress was dressed as Yashoda maiyya. The mommy-son duo posed for adorable Janmasthami special pictures depicting the bond of Kanha with his mother. Sharing the pictures, Puja wrote, “Mai aur mera natkhat kanhaiyaa Shubh janmashtami aap sabhi ko @kunalrverma.” Puja and Krishiv looked adorable together.
On April 15, 2021, Puja had celebrated her first Gangaur festival, which is all about honouring Goddess Gauri. Married women celebrate Gangaur for the long life and good health of their husbands. Gana is another name for Shiva and Gangaur means the togetherness of Gauri and Shiva. Kunal had shared a picture of his wife, Puja, dolled up for the festival with their baby boy, Krishiv, who had donned an ethnic outfit. Alongside it, he had written, "Happy gangor & Shubho nobho borsho to all."

Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma have been celebrating every milestone of their little one’s life, and Krishiv’s annaprashan ceremony was no different. The ceremony was held as per Bengali rituals and he had looked adorable in a golden kurta and red dhoti with floral accessories adding to his cuteness. Kunal had posted a video and had written, “Here’a a glimpse of our baby’s aanaprashan (rice ceremony) mamma papa giving blessing to our SON (krishiv ) it’s surreal giving blessing to this gem of ours thanku god for this moment .. THANK YOU.” Puja had captioned her post as “Ajke amader chele krishiv er onnoprashon chilo. Apnara shobay aashirwaad deben.”
In a conversation with SpotboyE, Puja had talked about her grand wedding plans with Kunal. She had also mentioned that their son, Krishiv will be attending their wedding and will sit with his father, Kunal on ghodi. She had said, “We will definitely get married with all the rituals. But yes we will not spend a lot of money. As the scenarios have changed now. The world is going through a lot. So, I really don't want to waste money. But I definitely want to fulfil my dream of taking saath phere. Bas is baar Papa ke saath ghodi pe beta bhi baithega. Our son (Krishiv) will never complain to us that you people did not invite me for your wedding."
