Puja Banerjee had met Kunal Verma on the sets of their show, Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna and after dating for nine years, they had exchanged the rings in 2017. Three years post being engaged, and after postponing their wedding twice, Puja and Kunal were pronounced husband and wife after a registered court marriage in February 2020. It was four months after introducing each other as husband and wife and announcing their wedding, the couple had informed that they’re expecting their first child. On October 9, 2020, Puja and Kunal had hopped on the crazy journey of parenthood as they had welcomed a baby boy into their lives. The first-time father, Kunal had shared a video to announce the news of welcoming a baby boy into their lives. In the video, we could read, “9-10-2020 Mother Earth got it’s one more child. Thanku is a very small word to express…WE 3 our humbled.. cant express its surreal”.
Now that it’s been 5 days since the birth of their baby boy, Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma have welcomed their little wonder to their home. The couple has ensured that their baby gets the grand welcome as he steps into his home for the first time. Taking to his IG stories, Kunal shared a glimpse of the welcome they have planned for their little one. In the picture, Puja and Kunal’s car can be seen decorated with blue and white balloons, in which they got their baby home. Kunal wrote, “My baby” atop it with ‘welcome’ GIF. Puja also reposted Kunal’s story on her IG handle. As Kunal has become dad for the first time, expressing his happiness, he also shared a picture on his IG handle, wearing a T-shirt that reads “First time dad”. Take a look:
In an interview with The Times of India, Kunal had shared his joy on the birth of his son and had said, "Puja and I are proud and extremely happy to share that we are parents of a lovely baby boy today. I was with Puja in the operation theatre, while she delivered our baby. Both Puja and the baby are doing fine and I am extremely thankful to God for his blessings." In September, Puja had a baby shower and she had shared the pictures of the same on her Instagram handle. It was one of Puja’s baby shower cakes, which was arranged by her friend, Akanksha Chamola that had caught everyone’s attention. It had a glimpse of the delivery room scenario where Puja could be seen on the bed as the doctor helped her deliver the baby and Kunal had an oxygen mask on his face. “Push Puja Push” was written on the cake. The cake had perfectly depicted the delivery room situation and Puja and Kunal's reactions to the cake had made it funnier!
In an exclusive interview with BollywoodShaadis.com, Puja Banerjee had spilt some beans on her pregnancy phase. When asked, “When is the baby due?” Puja Banerjee had replied, “Baby is going to come really soon.” The excited mommy-to-be had then revealed the best part of her pregnancy and the struggles that she had faced, “The best part is the feeling of carrying my world inside me and the struggles I have faced till my 5th month I was very sick and hardly could eat anything.
