According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Presley, who was a model by profession, died at a rehab facility in Los Angeles. The cause of his sudden death has not been revealed, as the family sought privacy. Though Presley’s mom, Cindy, was a runway veteran, he initially had no idea about her profession.

Presley Gerber’s life has always been in the spotlight because of his successful parents. But while growing up, Presley was clueless that his mom was a famous supermodel. In a throwback interview with Today, Cindy spoke about balancing motherhood with her hectic work. She was joined by her kids, Kaia Gerber and Presley Gerber, during the interview.
Cindy revealed that she knew that she was doing a great job after realizing that Presley was clueless about her profession while growing up. Recalling the same, she pointed towards her son and said:
“I think you told [them] in preschool, [when] there was, like, 'What do your parents do for work?' And you told your preschool teachers that I didn't work, and I was like, wow, that means I'm doing a great job, because he doesn't feel my absence so much.”
What caused Presley Gerber's death?
Presley was the only son of Cindy and Rande, and the news of his sudden death shocked the glamour world. Presley had been open about his addiction issues and mental health struggles, and he often talked about the pressure of growing up in the public eye. The cause of his death is still not confirmed, and the autopsy report is awaited.
Presley had a history of mental health and drug abuse issues. The handsome lad was open about his major opiate addiction. He was also in a coma for many days after experiencing a near-fatal fentanyl overdose. While speaking about his struggle with drugs, Presley once shared that he had been to at least 15 different psychiatrists, who prescribed him medication without leading him to a structured way of recovery.
In a 2023 podcast interview, he said that dealing with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks had become a major part of his daily life. He explained that he wanted to be transparent so others going through similar issues would not feel isolated. In December 2025, Presley Gerber shared an Instagram video in which he spoke about relying on prescription medication to manage his symptoms, including antidepressants for depression and medication for panic attacks.
Like his mother and sister, Presley began his modeling career at 16, debuting for Moschino. Before Presley got deep into modeling, he tried his hand at photography. He later walked for Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, and Calvin Klein. Presley was arrested while driving under the influence in December 2018. In July 2019, he pleaded guilty to a DUI misdemeanor and was sentenced to three years’ probation.
