Preity Zinta, one of the most famous and talented actresses in the Hindi Film industry, needs no introduction. The diva debuted in Bollywood with her movie, Dil Se in 1998. Apart from that, she won millions of hearts with her masterclass performances in several other movies, such as Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Dil Hai Tumhaara, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and many more. Along with her top-notch career, Preity often made it to the headlines for her tiff with the then-newcomer, Kareena Kapoor. For those who don't know, the role of 'Naina Catherine Kapur' in the film, Kal Ho Naa Ho was first offered to Kareena by Karan Johar. However, later, Preity Zinta bagged the role. Kareena reportedly didn't like it, and things started getting a bit sour between the two actresses.
Recently, a clip of Preity Zinta from the talk show, Koffee With Karan made rounds on the discussion platform, Reddit. In the clips, the diva was asked by Karan Johar about her equation with Kareena, as back at that time, there had been a lot of friction between them. Replying to the question, Preity said that she has also grown up and become much more calmer in life. Further, Karan asked if Preity met Kareena on social occasions. To this, the diva said whenever she says 'hi' to Kareena whenever they meet, the latter doesn't say it back. Preity further added that she is okay with it. Sharing the video, the Reddit user slammed KJo for the way he ignites fights between celebrities to get his content.

As soon as the video went viral on Reddit, netizens rushed to the comment section to drop their opinions. While some netizens supported Preity Zinta, others slammed Karan Johar for asking such a question that could worsen things between the actresses. While one user wrote, "I feel for Preity. She’s another outsider who was often treated poorly by the Nepos of the industry," another one commented, "That's the point of a talk show to create controversy and buzz. See it works cause what season is this 1 2? It has been years but clips are still talked about."

The clip, which was shared on Reddit recently, was a cut and short version of the episode. However, as per a report in Bollywood Life, in the same episode of the Koffee With Karan, a clip from Kal Ho Na Ho was played, and to this, the diva said:
"Kareena, thank you for Kal Ho Na Ho. Don't hold me for it, you always hold me for it. I don't have any problem with her, but, I do have a problem when she ignores me. I don't like that. Kareena says hi to me when Karan is around. I think, Kareena, we are both actors of the Indian film industry and we should just take a chill-pill."

On her appearance in Koffee With Karan in season 1, Kareena said she was sorry for not doing Kal Ho Naa Ho and had apologised to Karan. She also talked about her relationship with Preity Zinta. The actress also reportedly was offended by Preity's comment on celebrity kids receiving unfair advantages. As per an old report by IBTimes, Kareena said:
“She said something about me, and I retaliated…There was probably some misunderstanding that she wasn’t interested in clearing up. That’s fine by me because she’s nowhere in competition with me.”
Talking about Preity's comments on Kareena ignoring her and only greeting her when Karan is around, Kareena also opened up about the same. The actress could be quoted as saying:
"Let her think what she wants to think. She is my senior, so next time, I shall go up to her and say ‘Hi’.”
