Prateek Yadav's Mysterious Death At 38, His Last Video And Cryptic Post On 'Life' Garner Attention

Prateek Yadav, the younger son of late Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and half-brother of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, passed away at 38. His sudden death has raised many questions in people’s minds and left the entire Uttar Pradesh in shock. Ever since his death was confirmed, there have been constant reports on his health and family life.

Prateek Yadav’s last video reveals his love for flying

Prateek Yadav stayed away from politics and was known for his fitness, lifestyle and real estate. Amid his death, Prateek’s last video on social media is surfacing. In the video, posted on April 3, 2026, Prateek was seen flying a private jet, which showed his love for flying. Though he took up flying as a hobby, his followers were surprised to learn of his other interests beyond fitness and business.

Prateek Yadav’s cryptic social media post draws attention

Amid the many pinned posts of Prateek, a cryptic post of his about life has drawn people’s attention. For the unversed, Prateek was also hailed for his love for animals, and he often posted videos and posts about animal welfare. In one of his posts, he mentioned that one should treat life as one treats animals. Soon after his death, the post received many comments in which people hailed him for his humanity.

 All about Prateek Yadav’s sudden demise

It was in the early hours of May 13, 2026, when Prateek Yadav’s driver rushed to Lucknow’s Civil Hospital, seeking urgent medical assistance, saying his “brother was unwell”. Civil Hospital director GP Gupta revealed that an Emergency Medical Officer (EMO) was immediately sent to the residence, but Prateek Yadav’s body showed no signs of life when the medical team reached there. According to Gupta, family members initially intended to take the body back home, after which hospital authorities advised that it be sent for postmortem examination. 

While the initial details did not reveal the official cause of his death, reports suggested that Prateek had been battling lung-related health issues and was undergoing treatment for blood clots in his lungs. However, doctors said the exact cause of death would only be confirmed after a postmortem examination. 

Prateek’s gym partner, Sarvesh Pandey, revealed that Prateek Yadav had first been brought to Lucknow’s Civil Hospital on May 12, 2026, at midnight but was taken back home. As per Sarvesh, Prateek’s condition worsened and deteriorated significantly afterwards, following which he was brought to the hospital again.

Prateek Yadav is the son of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Sadhna Gupta. He was married to Aparna Bisht (now Aparna Yadav), who currently serves as Vice Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission. The couple welcomed a daughter, Prathama Yadav, in March 2014. The couple has a younger daughter named Prateeksha Yadav.
