Popular actress, Prakruti Mishra has been hitting the headlines for her alleged relationship with her film, Premam co-star, Tanmay Mohanty aka Babushaan Mohanty and his wife, Trupti Satpathy's outrageous behaviour towards her. For the unversed, Prakruti was seen in a Hindi TV soap, Bitti Business Walli, and she was also one of the contestants in MTV’s reality show, Ace Of Space 2. Moreover, she has also bagged the National Film Award for a Television drama, Hello Arsi.
However, a while back, a video of Prakruti Mishra getting assaulted on the streets of Bhubaneswar by Trupti Satpathy surfaced on the internet. In the video, Prakruti was seen grabbed by Trupti in her car, and the former somehow managed to get out of the vehicle. However, the latter chased Prakruti. The actress then called an auto-rickshaw to stop for her, and even after she called for help all the time, not a single person went forward. As soon as the video was shared, it went viral on social media.

Afterwards, Prakruti Mishra took to her IG handle and addressed the rumours of her affair with co-star, Babushaan Mohanty. Prakruti shared a statement mentioning that she and her co-star were heading for an event in Chennai wherein Babushaan's wife, Trupti Satpathy, grabbed her and the incident then followed. However, she later deleted the post. The statement penned by the actress can be read as:
"Every story has two sides. Unfortunately, we are living in such a society where people blame women before listening anything. Me and my co-star Babushaan were heading for Chennai to attend an event being organised by Utkal Association. During the period, Babushaan’s wife along with some goons started heckling the actor and assaulted me physically and mentally. Such behaviour shown by Babushaan’s wife is not acceptable to me.”
She also shared a post about women's empowerment. However, soon netizens dropped comments mentioning that she stole someone else's husband. To this, the actress also asked whether the netizen was using their brains. Her statement can be read as:
"Working out on Women Empowerment For this Society is Subject to "the Ground Breaking" reality of facing the real harassment, do they know I have a Larger goal towards changing the dogma I think it empowers me to work more for it! I think I'm not yet done with my work, and I need to do more to finally achieve my goal Women Empowerment.”

Trupti Satpathy alleged to Prakruti that the actress was in a relationship with the former's husband, Babushaan Mohanty to get a boost in her career. She also mentioned that Prakruti was 'stealing her husband and creating a disturbance in her married life'. However, as per Kalinga TV, Babushaan also opened up about the same. He explained in a video in Odia language saying:
“All of you must be enjoying watching my viral videos. But, I want to tell you that I came to Chennai to participate in Utkal Divas celebrations and Prakutri Mishra was also invited to the event. I came here to promote my film in which Prakruti is working opposite me, and we were also planning to announce a new film. I was not aware that my family was going through disturbances. If my family has issues with this then I will not do that film with her. If required, I will not work with any heroines in the future.”
Prakruti Mishra has filed a case in Kharvel Nagar Police station under Sections 341, 294, 323, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
