Prakash Raj took to his X account (formerly Twitter) and reacted to the buzz around him replacing Akshaye Khanna in Drishyam 3. He revealed that he has started shooting for the crime thriller and answered the much-asked question about his role in the film. Without sharing many details, Prakash clarified that he was not replacing anyone in the film. He was quoted as saying:

"Started shooting for this engaging franchise #Drishyam3 in Hindi. With a wonderful team and a scintillating role to play. I’m sure you will love it. (And yes, I’m not replacing anyone..)."

Akshaye Khanna has been making headlines for his role as 'Rehman Dakait' in Dhurandhar. However, amid that, the buzz went rife that the actor has decided to exit Drishyam 3, citing disagreement between him and the makers.
