Popular actor, Kalidas Jayaram is predominantly seen in many Malayalam and Tamil films. For the unversed, Kalidas is the son of film actors, Jayaram and Parvathy. He made his debut in the Malayalam film, Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal in 2000, at the age of seven. Later, he appeared in the 2003 film, Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum, for which he also won the National Film Award for the Best Child Artist. Afterwards, in 2016, he made his debut in the Tamil film industry with the film, Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum. However, he is best known for his film, Poomaram, released in 2018.
On November 11, 2023, Kalidas Jayaram took to his IG handle and officially announced his engagement with his girlfriend, Tarini Kalingarayar. The couple got engaged in a private ceremony in Chennai, and it was attended by some of their close friends and family members. Not only that, eminent names in the film industry, including director, Sudha Konagra, and actresses like Bhavani Sre, Megha Akash and Aparna Balamurali also graced the event.

For the intimate ceremony, the actor looked dapper in a silk kurta with a traditional lungi. On the other hand, Tarini looked stunning in a lehenga paired with an embellished choli and a net dupatta. The bride-to-be paired her look with a broad necklace, matching earrings and a sleek maang teeka. She completed her look with subtle makeup, a simple hairdo and a bindi. Indeed, Kalidas and Tarini radiated pure happiness in the pictures and sharing them, the actor wrote:
"We got engaged."

On the professional front, Kalidas Jayaram was last seen in the film, Natchathiram Nagargiradhu. In the coming days, he has several upcoming projects in the pipeline, including D 50, Aval Per Rajni and Indian 2. On the other hand, Tarini is a former Miss Tamil Nadu 2019. Currently, he has been working in the modelling field.
