The rumours first gained traction during a livestream by one of Shiesty's close friends, BenDaDon. Fans interpreted a conversation on the stream as referring to the rapper's arrest. Following the livestream, people searched the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) website and found Pooh Shiesty listed at RRM Dallas, a Residential Reentry Management facility that oversees halfway houses and home confinement.

Popular media personality, DJ Akademiks initially shared screenshots of the BOP records, which listed a projected release date for rapper, Pooh Shiesty as April 11, 2026. It fuelled rumours of arrest once again, leading many to believe he had been taken back into custody, though Akademiks later posted a clarification from Shiesty's label regarding the viral claims. It showed that his intention was not to mislead the fans, but to help in bringing out the truth behind the matter.

Was Pooh Shiesty actually arrested again? His team clarified

As of January 13, 2026, Pooh Shiesty has not been re-arrested. His label confirmed that he is currently on home confinement, not in jail. RRM Dallas is a residential facility that manages individuals in halfway houses or home confinement programs, which is why he remains listed in their system. Shiesty was released early from federal prison on October 6, 2025, after serving approximately three years of a 63-month sentence for federal firearms conspiracy charges. He is expected to remain on home confinement until his full sentence expires in April 2026.

How many times has Pooh Shiesty been arrested before?

Pooh Shiesty has been arrested multiple times, primarily for violent incidents involving firearms and drug trafficking. His most significant legal trouble stemmed from a federal firearms conspiracy case that resulted in a prison sentence in 2022. His first unlawful activity was the July 2020 incident at a gas station in Memphis. As part of his federal plea deal, the rapper admitted to being present in a vehicle when an occupant discharged a firearm at a gas station. Then, in October 2020, Shiesty was arrested in connection with a Bay Harbour Islands shooting and robbery outside the Landon Hotel.

Pooh Shiesty and two others allegedly met two men to purchase high-end sneakers and marijuana, but ended up shooting the victims (both survived) and fleeing in a rented McLaren. Investigators linked him to the scene through Instagram photos showing a Louis Vuitton bag and USD 100 bills, with serial numbers that matched those found at the crime scene. Shiesty's most recent case was the May 2021 strip club shooting in Miami. He was arrested again for allegedly shooting a security guard in the ankle or leg at the King of Diamonds strip club following an argument over dropped cash.
