In a recent interview with ETimes, Rimi Sen was quizzed about her wedding plans. Answering this, Rimi stated her disinterest in getting married and shared that men come with an ‘expiry date’. She also hinted on the pain of breakup and separation and mentioned that one only has the urge to get married until their twenties. In her words:

“Until you are 25/26, you feel the urge and need to get married and have a life partner. But now, at this point in my life, I feel that people come and go in your life despite you putting in 100 per cent to hold them with you. Breakups and friction even in friendships give too much stress. So, I consciously stay away from relationships with men; they all come with an expiry date.”

For those who don’t know, earlier in 2016, a report of Tellychakkar had quoted its source saying that Rimi Sen was dating model, Shahnawaz Alam. The source had revealed that they had met through mutual friends and had wanted to keep their brewing romance under the wraps. The source had said:

“The two met through common friends and have been hanging around together for quite some time. Rimi and Shahnawaz want to keep their blooming friendship under wraps for now and thus refrain from making any public appearances.”

Further in the conversation with ETimes, Rimi was asked to state the reason behind her disappearance from Bollywood. To which, she said that she had disappeared because she did not want to be typecasted in comedy films. Explaining about her antisocial life, Rimi shared:

“Either I am a zero or a hundred. Toh main gaayab ho gayi thi. Muujhe kaam nahin karna tha (I had disappeared. I didn't want to work) for a while, so what was the point in being seen around? Barosa uth gaya tha mera (I had lost my faith). Plus, my friend circle has always comprised of people outside the industry. Frankly, I am quite antisocial. Bachpan se backbencher. I am still not on social media. Too many people surrounding you means you need to pamper too many egos, and I strictly don't like that. I am not fake.”

On the work front, Rimi Sen will be next seen in the music video, Ruk opposite Karanvir Bohra.
