Meet Golfer Phil Mickelson's Wife, A Club Ousted Him For Inappropriate Contact With Female Employee

Legendary golfer Phil Mickelson has hit the headlines as a recent report by Golf Digest suggested that he was kicked out of a San Diego club after he inappropriately physically contacted one of the female employees. The incident reportedly happened back in the spring, and as per the report by Golf Digest, Phil Mickelson is no longer a member of The Farms Golf Club near San Diego, with which he had been associated. Amid this report hitting the headlines, Phil Mickelson's personal life has also been spoken about. For the unversed, Phil has been married to his wife, Amy Mickelson, since 1996. If the report by Golf Digest is to be believed, golfer Phil Mickelson was accused by a female employee of The Farms Golf Club of making nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact with her. Sources claimed that Phil approached the female employee and made inappropriate contact with her, and she instantly rejected the advances and reported the same to her supervisors.

The officers of The Farms took the allegation seriously and acted instantly on the same, by asking Phil, who was in the middle of a golf round, to vacate the premises. Reportedly, the San Diego County Sheriff's Office investigated the alleged sexual assault of Phil Mickelson. Following this, Phil was ousted from The Farms. A statement from The Farms, could reportedly be read as:

"Following a staff member report of member misconduct, the club provided immediate and ongoing support to the staff member, conducted a thorough independent investigation of the incident and took decisive action. This individual is no longer a member of The Farms Golf Club."

To mention, after he gave the first two events of the 2026 LIV Golf League season in February a miss, on April 2, 2026, he announced that he would not be playing in the Masters due to a family health matter. A leading daily recently contacted a spokesman of Phil to comment on the same, and it was revealed that the 'misunderstanding has been cleared up', and he has been continuing to attend a family health matter, and is unsure about when he will return to golf.

For the unversed, Phil Mickelson has been married to Amy Mickelson for three decades now. Amy Mickelson, known as Amy McBride, worked as an NBA cheerleader with the Phoenix Suns cheerleading squad while attending Arizona State University. It was in 1992, when the couple met as students of the Arizona State University, and back then, Amy had no idea about Phil or golf, as, according to her, she grew up in a tennis family, and thus, when Phil told her upon meeting that he was a pro golfer, she didn't have any idea about the same. The couple got married in 1996 and eventually welcomed three kids. Phil and Amy welcomed their first child, Amanda Brynn Mickelson, in 1999. Their second daughter, Sophia Isabel Mickelson, was born in 2001, and their family was completed with the arrival of their baby boy, Evan Samuel Mickelson, in 2003.

Not only life partners, but Phil and Amy actually had a joint professional venture through their non-profit organisation named Bridies for Braves, which appreciates the service members in the United States Armed Forces and their families. It was in 2009 that Phil faced a tough phase in his life, as his wife, Amy, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 37. He suspended his playing schedule during that time and then made a comeback the following month to be a part of the PGA Tour, revealing that his wife's cancer had been diagnosed early and was thus treatable.

It was less than seven weeks after Amy's diagnosis that Phil's mother was also diagnosed with breast cancer. Amy has been supportive of her husband, even when, back in 2022, he was suspended from the PGA Tour and pulled out of the Masters Tournament after his controversial comment about joining LIV Golf. Speaking to a publication, Phil revealed how he was supported by Amy even when his gambling addiction became reckless and embarrassing.
