Pete Davidson And Elsie Hewitt Break Up Months After Welcoming Their Daughter, Here's What Happened

The comedian is well-known for his humour and often controversial comments. However, recently, he has been in the headlines for his personal life. For the unversed, Pete was dating model, Elsie Hewitt and the couple welcomed a beautiful daughter in December 2025. However, soon after her birth, reports started to surface that all was not going well between them. And now, a source close to the couple has alleged that they have parted ways for good.

According to a recent report by The Sun, Pete Davidson has reportedly broken up with the mother of his child and girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt. The news comes months after the birth of their beautiful daughter, Scottie Rose. For the unversed, the couple welcomed their little angel in December 2025. 

Why did Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt break up?

According to The Sun, insiders close to the couple have alleged that the problems between Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt began to escalate after the birth of their daughter, Scottie Rose, in December 2025. A source claimed that Pete has been extremely busy with work and has an extremely tight work schedule, which eventually created a wedge between them, as Elsie wanted more support from Pete regarding their daughter. 

The source revealed that being at home was extremely difficult for Pete Davidson because he needed to work to earn money. However, Pete and Elsie Hewitt are now fully focused on co-parenting their daughter, Scottie Rose. The source was quoted as saying:

"Pete has been travelling so much for work, but Elsie was craving more support from him at home after their daughter was born. It was very hard for him because, obviously, he had to work to make money. They are just focusing 100 per cent on Scottie. Working out the best co-parenting solution is their top priority."

The Saturday Night Live alum, Pete Davidson, has spent much of the past several weeks travelling, including attending his Netflix Is a Joke special in Los Angeles on May 9, 2026, and the Kevin Hart roast the next day, which was also Mother's Day. However, while Pete was out touring, Elsie spent the holiday alone in Brooklyn and did not post anything about Pete. While the former couple has not officially commented on the matter, the breakup seemed to be final according to insiders.

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt reportedly began dating in March 2025, according to Page Six, and at the time, Pete was 'very happy' to be in a romance with someone 'very different' from the girls he had dated in the past. The couple went public two months later, and in July 2025, Elsie showed off her baby bump, announcing that they were expecting their first child. According to reports, the couple held a bunny-themed baby shower, and their daughter was born on December 12, 2025. Elsie made a post to announce the arrival of their little angel, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson.

However, things soon began to go downhill, according to reports. It was Page Six that first reported that things were rough between the couple. The outlet cited a source who told the publication earlier this month that Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt were 'navigating relationship struggles'. The source further told the publication that it was 'unclear' if things would end between the two.
