He has been in the hospital for over two weeks now, and with every passing day, while he seems to be gaining more awareness, it seems to be followed by more questions. And now, in a conversation, a person close to Perez has revealed a reality the blogger will soon have to face.
Perez Hilton has not received a single bouquet or get-well card since hospitalization
In a conversation with the Daily Mail, a friend close to Perez has reflected on his recovery journey. They shared how, for the past few days, Perez has been told that his friends are 'all in your corner'. However, the reality couldn't be any more different, as it's revealed that the blogger hasn't received a single bouquet, get-well card, or text from the close celebrity friends he spent years cultivating.
According to the friend, Perez Hilton has been asking about his friends and whether they have reached out to check on him. However, the family doesn't have the heart to tell him that no one from his industry circle has reached out to see how he is doing. The friend was quoted as saying:
"All the ones he wanted to reach out to, all the celebrities who he has mended fences with, all the ones who said he's their friend. None of them are doing anything. He's about to find out who his real friends are. We don't even know how to break this news to him; he'll be crushed. It's sad, really, how little people are rallying behind him. People who have told him they love him, but where are they?"
For the unversed, despite his notorious chronicles of digging out celebrities' most private moments, several A-listers eventually came around to liking Perez. He shared a close bond with Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Adele. He was even made the godfather of Spencer Pratt's son, Gunner. Perez had spent months leading up to the incident making amends with celebrities he once feuded with, most recently burying the hatchet with Khloe Kardashian and Britney Spears.
However, despite his efforts, it seems like no one has come around to wish him well or check on his well-being. The close friend has also commented on the same, saying, "People who said they were his friends have not spoken out, not shown any support, publicly or privately. They know who they are."

The lack of public support from Perez Hilton's friends is not the only thing his family is shielding him from. According to Perez's friend, they're also hiding the celebrities that are publicly criticizing him. In the same conversation, the friend called out celebrities who have spoken negatively about the blogger, specifically Alec Baldwin's daughter, Ireland. They said:
"Like Ireland saying he was a piece of s**t, why? Why make a dig? Why go there if you want to say something? Do you need to get your pound of flesh? Those are the ones that we don't want him seeing; we don't need him to see people saying things like that; it'll just make him spiral."
For the unversed, Perez Hilton has been hospitalized under Florida's Baker Act. He is currently receiving inpatient treatment, and family says he has a long road to recovery. The blogger has allegedly received extensive stitches for his injuries. Meanwhile, his mother, Teresita Lavandeira, filed for temporary legal custody of his three children on August 7, 2026, in a Miami family court.
