In fact, when Rod's daughter Kimberly became a mother in 2011, Penny stepped in to help by providing her own breast milk after Kimberly struggled to produce enough for her newborn daughter.

During an appearance on the Postcards from Midlife podcast, Penny (then 54) revealed that she gave her own breast milk to Kimberly's baby, Delilah. The television personality clarified that while she didn't directly breastfeed her granddaughter, she provided Kimberly with her breast milk so that Delilah could be fed.
At the time, Lancaster had recently welcomed her own son, Aiden, with Stewart. She revealed she had always been able to breastfeed and was in a position to help when Kimberly's milk supply wasn't enough. Speaking to The Times in 2025, she described it as an emotional moment that brought the family closer together.
Recalling the decision, Penny told The Times that it was a breastfeeding nurse's suggestion at the time, because it was ideal for a newborn to receive milk from someone who was already breastfeeding. She shared:
"The breastfeeding nurse said, 'In a perfect world, you'd know someone who's breastfeeding,' and everyone turned to look at me."
Lancaster said she immediately focused on what would be best for the baby. She described the experience as "a real motherhood bonding moment," highlighting the connection between herself, Kimberly, and the new baby. She recalled:
"I remember thinking, 'What's the most important thing for this child?' I knew my milk would give her the nutrients and antibodies she needed."
The revelation offers a glimpse into the blended family behind Stewart's famous rock-star image. The 81-year-old is father to eight children: Sarah, Kimberly, Sean, Ruby, Renee, Liam, Alastair and Aiden. His family has continued to grow over the years, with Stewart frequently sharing glimpses of his children and grandchildren.

Their wedding ceremony was a low-key affair with only 100 people, including family and friends, in attendance. Ten years later, in 2017, the couple renewed their vows at their 45-acre estate in Essex, England.
The story has resurfaced as Lancaster continues to discuss motherhood, family, and her life with Stewart. The 55-year-old recently opened up about Stewart's health after doctors discovered what she described as an "underlying heart issue." The singer underwent a coronary stent procedure after experiencing health problems while touring. After Penny's insistence, he has now decided to retire after his 2027 tour.
Despite the controversies that have followed Rod Stewart for decades, the rock legend now has a beautiful blended family with Penny and his children.
