Lock Upp contestant, Payal Rohatgi is all set to get married to the love of her life, Sangram Singh, who is a former wrestler by profession. The duo has been dating each other for 12 years, and now they are prepping for the big day. Within a month, on July 9, 2022, Payal and Sangram will tie the marital knot and start their new journey.
During Payal's stay inside the Lock Upp, we have seen Sangram taking a stand for his ladylove and supporting her at every step, proving their immense love for each other. Their social media platforms are filled with the couple's mushy pictures and their fans love their camaraderie. Sangram and Payal had announced their wedding news in a fun way. They had shared a poster with their pictures in a boxing posture on their Instagram handles and had written:
"Save the date, coming this July."

Now, in a recent media interaction with ETimes, Payal and Sangram opened up about their wedding preparations. The couple shared that they had wanted a destination wedding in Rajasthan or Uttarakhand. But, because of their parent's health, they are opting for NCR or Ahmedabad. Talking about the same, Sangram said:
"We wanted to do a destination wedding in Rajasthan or Uttarakhand, but then we thought that it would be very difficult for our parents, who are very old now, to travel so much for the wedding. So, we thought that NCR would be the most convenient location for our families, and therefore we are looking at venues here. We travelled across NCR for two days looking at different venues and really liked a few, and we will finalise it in a day or two. If by any remote chance, things don't work out in NCR in the next few days, then we will have the wedding in Ahmedabad, where Payal's family is based. Also, there will be a small celebration at my village in Haryana. People there have been waiting for my marriage as much as my parents."
Going further in the conversation, Payal revealed that they will be having an intimate ceremony with their close friends and family, and after a few days, they will host a party for their industry friends. Payal also mentioned that she wants a reeti-rivaz wedding. She shared:
"We are certain that the wedding will just be attended by our families and a few very close friends. We are planning to host a reception in Delhi and Mumbai a few days later for our friends. Sangram initially wanted to have a court marriage or a temple wedding and surprise our families, but I wanted a traditional wedding with all the reeti- rivaaz in the presence of our families. I think every woman wants to make her wedding day special and memorable in every way possible, and look her best. So, I want all traditions and rituals to be followed. I want to look pretty as it's going to be a life-long memory. I want to wear a lovely red outfit as I love bright colours and red is perfect for me. It will be a three-day celebration, and the wedding rituals will take place during the day on July 9."

For the unversed, at first, Payal and Sangram were supposed to get married on July 21, 2022, which also happens to be Sangram's birthday. But later, they had to change their wedding date to July 9, 2022, as his mother had declared there's no mahurat after that.
