Payal Gaming, the first female gamer of India, has been leading headlines for some time now. She has been grabbing a lot of attention after her private video went viral. However, she clarified that the video circulated online was an AI-generated deepfake video. Recently, she took to her X handle (formerly Twitter) and shared that while she has always refrained from commenting on the negativity, this time she thought to clear the air. A while ago, Payal shared an update about her cybercrime report.
On December 19, 2025, Payal took to her X handle and shared a snap of her FIR copy. She registered an FIR under the Maharashtra State Cyber Department over her AI-generated deepfake video. Along with the snaps, Payal penned a short note sharing an update about her cybercrime report. She expressed her gratitude to the Maharashtra Cyber Department. She wrote:
"Today, I met Shri. Yashasvi Yadav (IPS), Addl. Director General of Police and Head of the Maharashtra Cyber Department. I express my sincere gratitude for the prompt action, professionalism, efficiency and seamless support extended by the Maharashtra Cyber Department."

On December 17, 2025, Payal took to her X handle and shared a lengthy note to address the buzz surrounding her deepfake video. The female gamer shared that she never expected to speak about a personal thing, which was distressing. She cleared the air about the deepfake video and mentioned that her name has been falsely associated with the clip. She clarified it was not her in the now viral video. She wrote:
"I never expected to have to speak publicly about something so personal and distressing. Over the past few days, content has been circulated online that falsely associates my name and image with a video currently being shared on digital platforms. I want to state this clearly and without ambiguity: the individual depicted in that video is not me, and it has no connection to my life, my choices, or my identity."

In the same note, Payal opened up about how the deepfake video affected her and her family. She mentioned that she always believed in maintaining silence when it came to negativity. However, the current situation demanded clarification and a voice. She highlighted that she had to raise her voice for the women who were subjected to similar kinds of online abuse and character attacks. She called this type of content hurtful and 'dehumanising'. She requested the people to refrain from sharing, reproducing or speculating about the viral video. She wrote:
"What has been most painful is not only the misrepresentation itself, but the speed and ease with which a person's dignity can be undermined in the digital space. These actions have consequences far beyond the screen, affecting real people, real families, and real lives. I have always believed in maintaining silence in the face of negativity. However, this situation demands clarity and a voice, not just for myself, but for the many women who are subjected to similar forms of online abuse and character attacks. This is not harmless content; it is deeply hurtful and dehumanising."

Payal Gaming is widely known for her gameplay videos and live streams. She is strong enough to give a tough fight to the male gamers. She is also recognised as one of India’s female gamers.
