This wedding season seems unstoppable with so many Bollywood and television celebrities getting married and many in the line. After Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, Bollywood actor and comedian, Kapil Sharma will tie the nuptial knot with Ginni Chatrath on December 12, 2018. Yesterday, we told you Ishaqbaaz fame, Kunal Jaisingh will get married to Bharati Kumar on December 20, 2018. And now, we have another celebrity wedding lined up. It’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata actress, Parul Chauhan who has now confirmed her wedding date and other details. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, the Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai fame actress shared that she is taking the wedding vows with her boyfriend Chirag Thakkar on December 12, 2018, in Mumbai. Their wedding functions will kick-start a day before, on December 11. Parul and Chirag will take their saat pheras in a traditional temple wedding.
Parul revealed the details further and said that after their wedding, they will head towards a court marriage on the same day. Two wedding receptions have been planned by them- first in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh which is Parul Chauhan's hometown, and second in Mumbai for their friends. Parul said in the interview, “I have been running errands and taking half-day offs from my shoot to make arrangements for my in-laws, and it has been quite hectic.”
Parul and Chirag, who have been dating each other for over 3 years now, had earlier confirmed their wedding news in September 2018. Talking to Bombay Times then, Parul had said, “My family and relatives have been waiting for me to get married. Everybody had this question, so finally, yes, the time has come. We haven’t zeroed in on the venue yet. But there will be a court marriage in Mumbai.”
Talking about her long-time boyfriend, Chirag, Parul shared that they two have not dated each other in conventional ways. The 30-year-old actress said, “Chirag is not my boyfriend, he is my friend. We have not dated in the conventional term. Sharing their love story, Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed actress said, “I met Chirag in 2015 through a common friend and found him to be completely different from the people I come across usually. He is a simple and rooted guy. He did not propose to me. We have been good friends and everything is progressing slowly. I realised that I should marry a guy like him when I started to know him better, as he would always keep his companion happy. Last year, when my mother visited me during Diwali I invited Chirag and his family for the puja. When my mother met Chirag, she said that she wanted a son-in-law like him. The two families eventually talked about it and finally, we are getting married.”
In September, when Parul confirmed her wedding with Chirag, she shared the following picture on her Instagram handle. She captioned it as, “I believe marriage is lifelong commitment and friendship is a lifelong engagement.! Chirag, every single day I spent being your friend, I realise how lucky I am to live such an amazing life.!! By choosing a best friend for marriage, I chose happiness for life .! In an earlier interview, Parul had spoken reverently about Chirag and said, “My best friend is Chirag Thakkar; he is a proper definition of a friend for me. I met him through a co-actor and it’s been almost two years since then. He has taught me everything from how to manage my finances to my work.
