Parineeti Chopra made her acting debut in the industry with the 2011 film, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl co-starring Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma, among others. Since then, Parineeti formed a beautiful friendship with Ranveer, and proof of it is often found in the duo's revelations about one another in various interviews. For instance, when Parineeti collaborated yet again with Ranveer, for the 2014 film, Kill Dil, during its promotion the actress revealed quite some hilarious unknown anecdotes about the actor.
In a 2014 interview with Rediff, Parineeti Chopra was asked about her opinion on how she feels her co-star and good friend, Ranveer Singh, has evolved over the years. To this, she walked down the memory lane and mentioned how they were completely clueless about their onscreen roles during her first film, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, which was tentatively Ranveer's second film. However, when they reunited for their second film together, she found Ranveer's maturity in his acting. She said:
"I did my first film with him (Ladies vs Ricky Bahl), which was his second film. We were clueless about what to do on the sets. There is a big change in him. He has matured in his acting. But as a person, he is still the same."

In the same conversation, Parineeti was asked if she liked Ranveer's bald look in his film, Bajirao Mastani. To this, the actress explained that she has an experience of everything her friend does. Moreover, counting on the number of weird things Ranveer does, Parineeti mentioned that due to this reason, she always knocks before entering his vanity van. Parineeti mentioned:
"I am used to him doing anything. He can come without his pants and sit next to you. This happens so often. I never enter his vanity van without his permission. He never wears clothes when he is in his vanity van."
Recalling one such incident, Parineeti wondered if Ranveer actually doesn't like wearing pants. She remembered when they were shooting for their film, Kill Dil, Ranveer came to him without wearing his pants, leaving her completely shocked. Soon, she shouted at him, and then only the actor wore his pants. Calling him completely shameless, Parineeti added:
"I guess he doesn’t like to wear pants. This has been happening since Band Baaja Baraat. I was doing the marketing of the film and many times, when I entered his room, he would be sitting wearing nothing. He likes to take off his pants in public. I remember during the shoot of Kill Dil, we were shooting a romantic, emotional scene. I was doing my make-up and suddenly he comes and stands next to me without his pants! I shouted at him and said, ‘I am in a zone to shoot this sequence so please help me.’ After that, he wore his pants. Ranveer is completely shameless."

Now, as a Reddit user shared a screenshot of Parineeti's old interview, netizens soon started reacting to the same. Many called Ranveer a 'creep' while others also mentioned that Parineeti should have maintained some decorum before entering someone's private space. One comment can be read as "Didn't 'greenflag' say he always found Parineeti attractive? It makes this creepier." Another social media user wrote, "But who enters someone's private trailer without knocking or their permission?" In reply to this, one more netizen mentioned, "Thank you. That being said…you could put on some pants when someone comes in."
