Pankhuri Awasthy and Gautam Rode are soaring high on the personal front. The lovebirds have been on cloud nine ever since they hopped onto their parenthood journey. Moreover, the duo has been busy fulfilling their parental duties and they couldn't be happier. For the unversed, Pankhuri and Gautam tied the knot in 2018 and they welcomed their twin babies on July 25, 2023. Recently, the doting parents hosted a traditional naming ceremony for their kids and now, the loving mommy revealed the cutesy names of her little munchkins.

On September 7, 2023, Pankhuri Awasthy and Gautam Rode took to their respective Instagram handles and dropped an adorable video from their twin babies' naming ceremony. In the video, the entire Awasthy and Rode families can be seen dancing their hearts out to the beats of the Harmonium. Moreover, we even got a glimpse of the loving parents, Gautam and Pankhuri, enjoying with their family, while holding their babies. Further, the lovebirds were seen performing puja along with their respective mothers and the glimpses looked surreal.

Further, in the video, Gautam and Pankhuri can be seen revealing the name of their little bundle of joys in the most unique way. The lovebirds can be seen standing in front of a wall decorated with yellow, white and pink balloons. The wall even featured a yellow board that reads, "NAAMKARAN SANSKAR". Later, Gautam and Pankhuri burst the balloons and revealed their twins' names and the entire scene looked dreamy.

Pankhuri and Gautam share the significance of their kids' names

Gautam and Pankhuri penned a long note as they revealed their kids' names on the auspicious day of Janmashtami. In their note, the doting parents expressed their happiness and gratitude towards God and shared that they have named their daughter, 'Radhya Rode' and their son, 'Raditya Rode'. Mentioning the significance behind their unique name, Gautam and Pankhuri stated that 'Radhya' means the one who is worthy of worship and it is also an endearing name for 'Radha ji'. An excerpt of their note can be read as:

"RADHYA One who is worthy of worship. Also an endearing name for Radha ji who in Hinduism is revered as the Goddess of Love, Tenderness, Compassion, and Devotion. She is the incarnation of Mahalakshmi and also is the Mulaprakriti - the Supreme goddess, the embodiment of spiritual love and Krishna's feminine counterpart and internal potency. In Sanskrit Her name means propserity, success, perfection. They say.. Lord Krishna enchants the world, but Radhya enchants even him!"

Further, in their note, Gautam and Pankhuri revealed the meaning and significance of their son, Raditya's name. Talking about the same, the doting parents mentioned that their son's name means the Sun and it is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Ravi+Aditya'. Their note can be read as:

"RADITYA means Surya - the Sun. Ra is the ancient Egyptian deity of the Sun. One of the most important Gods in ancient Egyptian religion, Ra ruled in all parts of the created world: the sky, the earth and the underworld. Ra in Sanksrit means Fire and Strength. Aditya refers to the offspring of Aditi, the goddess representing infinity. Raditya in old Javanese - Ra + Aditya, derived from Sanskrit words Ravi + Aditya also means Sun or the light of Sun or Sunday - the day of the Sun. Similar to Surya or Ravi being the basis of Ravivara, in the Hindu Calender."

For the naming ceremony, Pankhuri opted for a white-coloured salwar-suit that featured golden zari work. She completed her look with a statement necklace, a pair of earrings and dewy makeup. On the other hand, Gautam looked handsome in a basic striped shirt, which he paired with black pants.

When Pankhuri Awasthy and Gautam Rode announced the arrival of their babies

For the unversed, it was on July 26, 2023, when Pankhuri had announced the news of the arrival of her twin babies. The new mom shared a picture note on her IG handle and revealed that she and her husband, Gautam Rode were blessed with a baby boy and a baby girl on July 25, 2023. In their picture note, Pankhuri and Gautam expressed their happiness over welcoming their little munchkins into their lives.
