Pankaj Tripathi is an example of how one must stick to their dreams and never give up until and unless success is reached. Coming from Belsand, a village in Gopalganj District, Bihar, Pankaj had made his Bollywood debut in 2004, and since then, he has been successfully stealing our hearts and attention even with a brief role in a film or series. On January 16, 2004, Pankaj Tripathi had tied the knot with his first love, Mridula. The much-in-love couple was blessed with a daughter, Aashi, in 2006, and with Mridula’s stable teaching career, Pankaj had pursued his dreams of becoming an actor.
Pankaj Tripathi is someone, who is not just admired on-screen for his characters but is respected as an inspiration to everyone in real life as well. Despite the fame and success, he has garnered, Pankaj has not forgotten his wife and family’s contribution in his life, which proves he is not just a great actor but a great human being too. Though the actor has always been tight-lipped about his personal life, he is often seen sharing pictures with his daughter and wife on his social media handles.

On January 16, 2022, Pankaj Tripathi posted a series of pictures with his wife, Mridula, to wish her on their anniversary. In the caption, Pankaj penned down a heartfelt note as they celebrated 17 years of togetherness after their marraige. The Mirzapur actor wrote:
“Satrah saal huye aaj parinay sutra mein. Iss sukhad yatra ki kuch yaadein. Dhanyabaad.”
While Pankaj posted throwback pictures with his wife from their younger days, wedding day and other memorable moments, his friends from the industry started showering the couple with lots of love in the comment section. While Archana Puran Singh wished them and wrote, “Bahut bahut badhai Mridula aur Pankaj”, Anurag Kashyap wrote, “Waah .. badhai”. On the other hand, Jatin Sarna wrote, “Bohat bohat badhai dada aur Bhabi ko” and many others like Swati Semwal, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Jitesh Pillai, Rasika Dugal, and Flora Saini wished the couple on their anniversary.

In an interview with The Better India, Pankaj had talked about his life, and had mentioned his wife’s contribution. He had given the whole credit for his career and taking the responsibility of the family to his wife, Mridula. He had said:
"If you ask me about my struggle, I don’t have any sad details like sleeping on a footpath or starving for days. That’s because my wife, Mridula, had taken over the entire responsibility of the house. In fact, I tell everyone that she is the man of the house."
In the popular review show, The Front Row with Anupama Chopra, Pankaj Tripathi was asked about his wife, Mridula, who had supported him for 10-years financially and never once asked him to change his field. Answering Anupama’s question, Pankaj had got emotional, and had said:
"Main is sawal ka jawab dete dete ro bhi sakta hoon. Aamtaur par ek ghar mein ek husband aur ek wife rehte hai. Mere ghar mein 2 wife rehti hai. Ek meri wife aur main unki wife. Pata nahi shayad meri imaandari dekh ke unko bharosa hoga. Main bohot sincere actor hoon maltab mere liye, cooking bhi acting hai. Mere liye duniya ka har kaam acting hai. Vo sabse kareeb thi, vo dekhti thi toh usko is baat ka ehsaas hoga ki agar itna imaandaar hai yeh banda aur apne craft pe itna laga hua hai toh kabhi na kabhi achhe din aayenge. Waqt badlega. Shayad yehi raha hoga. Baaki unse poochna hoga."
