Pankaj Tripathi is one of the most talented and versatile actors in Bollywood. He has been winning millions of hearts with his top-notch acting skills. In his professional life, the talented actor is currently beaming with joy with his last released film, OMG 2 got a positive response from the audience. Apart from that, he also bagged the Best Supporting Actor Award for his amazing performance in the film, Mimi at the 69th National Awards. Talking about his personal life, Pankaj has been going through a rough patch since he lost his father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari, on August 21, 2023. And now, the talented actor inaugurated a school library in his hometown in memory of his father, and it's simply heart-winning.

For those who don't know, Pankaj Tripathi is a native of Gopalganj, Bihar. The actor and his elder brother earlier embarked on a mission to rejuvenate a school, where he received his education. Talking about the same, Pankaj told the Hindustan Times that this idea was his family's decision, and in this project, they tried to improve the school's infrastructure, which included the installation of eco-friendly solar energy panels. Now, talking about the library, the actor shared that he and his brother thought about the availability of books to the kids within the educational institution to make the learning process perfect. Pankaj shared:

"We had already adopted a school, and improved the infrastructure. This time we thought there should be books available to the kids. I and my elder brother thought of it, and asked the students. My father placed a lot of importance on education."

Pankaj Tripathi also mentioned that he and his brother inaugurated the school library in memory of their father. Talking more about the same, the actor stated that his father was progressive, and he used to believe that only education can make a change. Pankaj also mentioned that helping the kids and society would be a perfect tribute to his babuji. Pankaj shared:

"He was progressive, and believed that change can only happen with education. So we thought inaugurating a library in his memory was perfect. To help kids and society would be the perfect tribute to our babuji."

In the same interview, Pankaj Tripathi mentioned that his father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari never watched any of his films. Elaborating more on the same, Pankaj stated that it might have happened that his father watched two or three scenes of his films, but he never watched the whole movie. Pankaj shared:

"Kabhi kisi ne ghar pe ek do scenes dikha diye honge mere, par poori film to nahi dekhi."

When Pankaj Tripathi opened up about his feelings after losing his father

During an old interview with Pinkvilla, Pankaj Tripathi opened up about his feelings about losing his father after winning the National Award. When asked how he felt after winning such a prestigious award, Pankaj stated that his emotions were mixed as he lost his father. Sharing more about the same, he mentioned that his father used to feel proud and happy for him.

Pankaj shared that his father's values, ethics, and principles helped him shape up as an actor and an individual. Mentioning that his father would be very happy for his win, Pankaj stated that although his father is no more with him, he could still feel him and his presence around. It was back on August 21, 2023, when Pankaj's family confirmed Pandit Banaras Tiwari's demise with an official statement of the actor's father's demise at the age of 99.
