In a throwback interview with Rediff News, Panchi Bora had talked about her debut in the showbiz world. Revealing that she wanted to become a lawyer, Panchi had said, “My father is a retired army officer. I wanted to become a lawyer. During my first year in college, I auditioned for commercials and got a break in a Cadbury ad. Ekta Kapoor [head, Balaji Telefilms] saw the ad and asked me to audition for MTV and Balaji Films' Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi. I bagged the part of a radio jockey, Ananya Puri.”
Elaborating on how did her show, Kayamath happened, Panchi Bora had stated, “After Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi, I took a break and decided to complete my graduation. Having quit law, I got a Bachelor of Arts degree. During the break, Ekta thought of casting me in Kayamath. I do not know how she tracked me as I had changed my residence. It must have taken a lot of effort on her part to track me. Initially, I was not interested in the role. I knew from my Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi experience that television would be hectic. But Ekta persisted and even narrated the script to me. I found it interesting and took it up.” (Also Read: Sunny Leone Opens Up About Her Son, Asher Being Compared To Taimur Ali Khan)
