Pamela Anderson's no-makeup look at the Venice award ceremony
Pamela Anderson has stayed away from the limelight in the past few years and has been working on her return. However, when she came back, she was stronger, and her reinvention story left everyone inspired. Recently, she was honoured at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival alongside some other respected names.
Pamela received the recognition at the festival's philanthropic event, a cause which she has supported for decades. She received amfAR's Award of Courage at the amfAR Venezia gala at the Hilton Molino Stucky. Pamela was dressed up in a beautiful orange-hued silk gown with strappy sleeves.

Pamela styled her gown with a matching orange-hued silk stole. which she carried gracefully over her hands. However, it was Pamela's no-makeup look that left everyone concerned. She chose to go bare-face and styled her hair in soft curls. Pamela chose to let her bold gown do the talking and skipped accessorizing the ensemble.
A user on X appreciated Pamela's outfit and wrote, "Orange satin on a venetian staircase is such a power move honestly the shawl makes it look like she knows exactly which gondola to take." Another commented, "Enough with this natural look put some fucking make up on." A third one wrote, "Nice dress but not her color. This color would suit a dark autumn."
Pamela Anderson also talked about something a deeply personal struggle she faced. While accepting the honour, she opened up about her hepatitis C diagnosis in the late 1990s. She revealed that back then there was no cure for the disease and she thought it to be a period of shame and guilt that lingered along with her. For the unversed, Pamela was cured of the viral infection in 2015, but it had taken everything she had in her bank to pay for her treatment. She shared:
"But my experience of shame and guilt was also an unconscious journey. It stays with me; it haunts me. And just like the sexual abuse that I endured as a child, it felt like it was carved into my forehead: Damaged goods. And I presented myself as such."

Pamela talked about her diagnosis in 2002, and nearly a decaded ago she was cured of the disease. Pamela shared that she thinks she was never fully recovered from the diagnosis. However, she has slowly come to terms with the disease and managed to live with it. However, she is currently cured of the hepatitis C, but the emotional weight of the chapter still stays with her. She said:
"It was a death sentence. That’s what my doctor told me — that I probably had around 10 years to live. I’m sure that colored and corrupted my decisions. It was not fear of death, but fear of what might happen to my young children. It turned my life inside out."
