Popular actress, Pakkhi Hegde has already made a name for herself in the Bhojpuri film industry with her stunning acting skills. Not only this, she has also acted in a couple of Hindi films like Ganga Devi and in other popular languages like Sat Na Gat in Marathi and Bangarda Kural in Tulu. Moreover, she recently made her Television debut with the show, Udti Ka Naam Rajjo. And in an interview, she revealed the hardships at the beginning of her career and why she didn't reveal it even after being the mother of two daughters earlier.
For the unversed, Pakkhi Hedge had tied the knot with an Entrepreneur and film director in the Bhojpuri film industry, Umesh Hedge in 2004. Together, they are blessed with two daughters, Aashna Hedge and Khushi Hegde. However, soon they had parted ways, and Pakkhi single-handedly raised her kids.

In an interview with ETimes, Pakkhi Hedge opened up about the hardships in the initial days of her career. However, she added that after parting ways with her husband, she started building up her career and said:
“I was a housewife, but later when I had some issues in my marriage, I stayed away from my husband along with my two daughters. That’s when I got into acting in 2005 because I wanted to be independent and have an identity of myself."
Further, Pakkhi revealed that at the beginning of her career, she had not disclosed about being a mother of two daughters. Elaborating on the same, she mentioned that initially she used to think that people wouldn't cast her if she disclosed her secret of being a mother. She added:
"In the beginning, it was very difficult because while it was a completely new profession for me, I was also a mother of two. I didn’t tell people at first that I had two daughters, but once I started getting work and made a name for myself then there was no need for me to hide anything. But initially, I thought that people might not cast me if they know that I am a mother."

In the end, Pakkhi talked about the hardships of being a single mother and mentioned that now she is in a better place. She also talked about sending her daughters to a boarding school and concluded:
"Being a single mother and balancing work was not easy. I moved out in 2005 and got a divorce in 2012. I had to send my daughters to a boarding school, which was not easy for me. They have grown up beautifully and are mature enough now to understand those situations. And now I am at a better stage in life where I am able to balance work and be with my daughters, too.”
