Pakistani actor, Wahaj Ali rose to global prominence with his role as ‘Murtasim’ in the drama, Tere Bin. His impeccable acting, coupled with his charming looks, made people a fan of this 34-year-old actor. Wahaj’s fan following is not restricted to Pakistan. Even Indian fans appreciate the actor’s captivating acting skills.
He stepped into the world of glitz and glamour in the year 2015 with the serial, Ishq Ibadat. Since then, he has not looked back and has climbed the stairs of success one after the other. As of now, Wahaj is a part of the drama, Mein alongside the very talented actress, Ayeza Khan.

Just like his on-screen character, Wahaj Ali is also a romantic in his real life. He met the love of his life while he was still in college. Wahaj crossed paths with his now-wife, Sana Farooq, during an internship program on Samaa TV. They both madly fell in love with each other and eventually got married in 2016. But their love story was not devoid of any hiccups. In a one-on-one with Samina Peerzada, he mentioned the struggles he had to undergo to marry his love, Sana.
Wahaj Ali, like a hopeless romantic, talks about how he met Sana, when he proposed to her and what struggles the duo faced to convince their respective families to marry. In an episode on Rewind With Samina Peerzada, Wahaj opens his heart out about his love story. When asked about when he confessed his feelings for Sana, Wahaj promptly answered, “Foran (Instantly)”.
The 34-year-old actor was then asked who proposed, to which he revealed that as he is the only child of his parents, they were hell-bent on getting him married at the earliest, and the duo did not get a chance to propose to each other properly. He said:
“Propose wala scene itna nahi raha hamara kyunki main ek eklauta baccha tha waldein ka toh wo chahte the ki main bas shaadi kar loon bohot jaldi se. Toh usi mein ye relationship bohot jaldi to shaadi chala gaya.”

He further added that his wife, Sana, used to write cards for him, and he used to make rounds of Sana’s neighbourhood. Wahaj Ali further talks about how all of a sudden, their families thought they should not be together, and they went against their marriage, which made Wahaj cry a lot. He reminisced:
“Bohot roya tha bhai, main toh bohot roya tha, Sana k saamne, apne amma abba k saamne. Sana itna nahi royi jitna main roya hoon.”
In another interview where he was asked about his personal life, he fluently talked about the positive impact of his wife, Sana, on his life. In an episode of Say It All With Iffat Omar, the host asked the actor why he decided to get married early in his career while garnering much attention as a ‘heartthrob’. To which Wahaj said:
“Aaj agar main actor hoon, ya agar main iss stage pe hoon. Ya aaj agar main itna comfortable hoon, mujhe lagta hai iske peeche meri begum ka bohot bada haath hai, she’s an optimist, toh main agar na-umeed bhi ho jaun, hamesha se usne mujhe umeed di hai ki nahi behtar ho jayega. Woh agar itna saath na deti ya itna support na karti toh main shayad kuch aur kar raha hota.”
For the unversed, Wahaj Ali and Sana Farooq were blessed with a daughter in 2017. They have named her Amirah Ali.
