She will be next seen in the upcoming crime thriller, Chikkar, set to release on December 22, 2023. The movie also features the renowned Pakistani actor, Usman Mukhtar. The plot of the upcoming movie revolves around a police officer who not only solves cases but also brings about social justice.

Ushna Shah recently appeared on the Adnan Faisal Podcast on FHM Pakistan, which was released on December 18, 2023. The actress and the host delved into the professional as well as personal life of the former. Ushna spoke without any filters and shared her thoughts on whatever was asked of her. During the conversation, she revealed that many women send her husband, Hamza, flirtatious texts. She said:
“Yaar, you know what’s crazy, jab se hamari shaadi huyi hai, because wo thodi limelight mein aa gaye hai, toh bajaye iske ki auratein aur peeche hatt jaye, aur beghairat ho gayi. Like unke DMs jo itne maze maze ke aate hai, they will pretend that they are contacting him for me.”
During their conversation, the podcast host, Adnan, then appreciated the wide range of roles that the actress, Ushna Shah, portrayed. He praised the actress’ versatility and asked how she could portray such a wide range of characters. Ushna then shared her opinion on the same and revealed that versatility is not appreciated in the industry. Most people want a girl who is not headstrong or strongly opinionated. She further said:
“Agar ek actor versatile nah o toh faarig hota hai, kyunki that’s the point of acting, you become different things. Versatility bohot zaroori hai. Magar versatile hone ka mauka nahi milta, kyunki aap jo heroines chahiye wo aapko chahiye bechari. Aap jitna bhi keh le humein toh headstrong or opinionated, strong opinionated toh aap actresses bardasht nahi karte, aapko actresses bhi clean cut chahiye, jinki zindagi mein jo marzi kare, lekin aapke saamne sweet si bane.”

Ushna expressed her desire to remove the forced 'happily ever after' endings from the dramas and movies. She also shared her regret about appearing in certain dramas in the past that promoted regressive mentalities and normalized staying in toxic marriages instead of promoting divorce and leaving such toxic environments.
