Olivia Wilde is hogging the limelight as she shared a rare glimpse into her and actor, Jason Sudeikis’ split. For the unversed, in November 2020, Oliver and Jason called it quits and ended their 7-year engagement. The pair got engaged back in 2013, and they welcomed a son named Otis Alexander and a daughter named Daisy Josephine out of wedlock. Now, nearly 6 years after their split, Olivia opened up about a moment when she realised things between her and Jason were over.

Olivia Wilde got candid about an unheard moment when she realised things between her and her ex-fiance, Jason Sudeikis, were over. Speaking with Alex Cooper on her podcast, Call Her Daddy, Olivia shared that she and Jason had been having a rough time in their relationship. Sharing a rare glimpse into what went wrong in their relationship, Olivia said:

"Jason and I had been having a rough time there for a while. We had a real bumpy, bumpy ride, and we were driving home from my birthday party my friends had had, and I said, 'Did you give me a birthday present?' And he said, 'What would I get you, Olivia? I don't know you.' And he wasn't wrong. We didn't know each other anymore."

During the same conversation, Olivia Wilde revealed that her new film, The Invite, was inspired by the moment when she realised things between her and Jason were over. She explained that there can be times when, in a relationship, the two people involved completely turn into strangers. She added that although it was difficult to end things with Jason, she was left with no other choice. She was quoted as saying:

"It's very difficult. This is the thing that made me wanna make this movie — or one of the things — because you can get to a place in a relationship where you stop engaging in the knowing of each other, in the curiosity about each other, and you find yourself in a place where you're like, ‘I don't even know you.’ And that was a point; that was when we realised it was over. And it was f—ing tough, and it brought us to the place of like, okay, this is done. We're gonna end this."

Olivia Wilde believes separation made her and Jason Sudeikis better parents

Further in the conversation, Olivia Wilde shared that although she and Jason are not together, they work very well as co-parents. For those unaware, Olivia and Jason are co-parenting their kids, 12-year-old son, Otis and 9-year-old daughter, Daisy. She explained that separated parents can still create a healthy environment for their children. She stated that Otis and Daisy are consistently getting the best of her and Jason. Olivia added that she believed that separation made her and her ex-fiance, Jason, better parents. She was quoted as saying:

"You can create a dynamic that allows that kid to have the maximum amount of love. I mean, we are great f—ing co-parents. These kids are consistently getting the best of us in a way that when we were together was not possible because we did not work together, but we work really well as separated co-parents."
