The model, 34, and the San Francisco 49ers star, 30, have welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Roman Augustus McCaffrey, less than 15 months after the birth of their first child, daughter Colette.
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, Culpo announced their son's name on Instagram, sharing a series of professional photographs capturing the family's first moments with their newborn, who was born on September 29.
As the couple begins this new chapter, Culpo's candid words about the emotional realities of postpartum life are also resurfacing; she once admitted that the postpartum period was both the hardest and the best experience of her life.
Olivia Culpo once called postpartum the 'hardest' yet 'best thing' to happen to her
In May 2026, Olivia Culpo shared an emotional TikTok featuring short clips from the months following the birth of her daughter, Colette Annalise, in July 2025. The video began with the new mother in tears before moving to quieter and happier moments with her baby. In the overlaying text, Culpo wrote:
"Postpartum is the hardest thing I've ever done... and somehow the best thing that's ever happened to me. Both can exist."

Culpo had previously reflected on the complicated emotions that come with motherhood. Speaking on a November 2025 episode of The Squeeze podcast, she said becoming a mother had shifted her perspective on her career and future.
Olivia shared what it's like to be the sole support system for a tiny human and how it can impact a new mother's day-to-day life. "There's totally a shift," she said, explaining that a newborn's dependence on a parent can be rather "scary." She also revealed that she experienced dysphoric milk ejection reflex, or D-MER, a condition associated with brief, distressing emotional sensations around milk let-down during breastfeeding.
As someone who has battled severe clinical depression in the past, Culpo could not be more grateful that despite the identity crisis and career shift, she wasn't consumed by the scary phenomenon that is postpartum depression. On The Squeeze Podcast, when asked about severe hormonal shifts, she responded:
"Thank God, no postpartum depression, but I do have an interesting thing called D-MER, which you don't hear about that often. I just noticed when I was breastfeeding, I had this intense, horrible, depressing feeling—like a pit in your stomach, like it hits you like a brick—as soon as she latches and you have a letdown. When your oxytocin rises for you to have a letdown, it's a temporary crash in your dopamine."
Olivia Culpo revealed her second pregnancy was unexpected
Culpo married the 49ers star in June 2024 after dating for five years. The couple announced their second pregnancy on May 8, 2026, which was also Culpo's 34th birthday. The announcement featured the couple posing outdoors with Colette, their dog, and ultrasound images. Culpo also showed off her baby bump in a long-sleeved white dress. The couple wrote in their joint announcement, "Best birthday gift [red heart emoji] Baby #2."
The news came less than a year after they welcomed their first child. Culpo and McCaffrey became parents to Colette in July 2025. The model later admitted that she had not expected to become pregnant again so soon after her first delivery. In a TikTok video shared that May, she revealed that she discovered she was four weeks pregnant when she was around six months postpartum.
"I did not think that this was going to happen the way that it did," she said, while expressing gratitude for the opportunity to welcome another child. Culpo also spoke honestly about her recovery after having a C-section with Colette, admitting that she was "definitely not totally healed" when she learned she was expecting again. She recalled:
"In the beginning, I was like, 'Oh, my God, can I even do this? Is this allowed? Like, what's gonna happen?' I just wish that I had planned a little better."

Culpo has also spoken warmly about McCaffrey's relationship with their daughter. In a January 2026 interview with Us Weekly, she said she had always expected him to be a wonderful father because of the kind of person he was and the example set by his own parents.
"He will be such a good example and protector to her," she said, adding that she wanted Colette to grow up knowing she had someone who loved her unconditionally. McCaffrey shared his own perspective in a February 2026 interview, saying that watching Culpo become a mother had been "so cool."
Congratulations to the new parents!
