'Oasis' Ending Explained, Who Kidnaps 'Celia,' Is She Saved By The Police Before It's Too Late?

Oasis is a new Spanish thriller that started streaming on Netflix on June 19, 2026. Oasis can be described as a Netflix version of the popular HBO series, The White Lotus. But the situations are completely different. While The White Lotus features someone being murdered inside a luxurious resort by the end of each season, Oasis uses the same backdrop of a resort, except that someone is kidnapped here too early on the show, and the guests become suspects for the police. 

Created by Ramon Campos, Oasis features all those elements that viewers prefer for a show with unpredictable twists in the middle or at the end. As all eight episodes of the show are now available on Netflix, keep reading to know what happens in the end! (Spoilers ahead)

Who kidnapped ‘Celia’ and why?

‘Celia’ is the central character of Oasis as she is kidnapped while the guests try to enjoy the facilities of the resort they enter. ‘Celia’s’ kidnapping happens from a particular situation where she finds an unknown secret hidden inside the Oasis Infinity Resort. She discovers some clues in the basement that eventually link the entire case to her family. ‘Celia’ finds that the resort has been a medium for her father, ‘Luis,’ to continue his illegal operation of drug trafficking.

While ‘Luis’ does not want ‘Celia’ to be in trouble, the situation does not remain under his control after his daughter finds the truth. ‘Inspector Sandra Ortega,’ who has been working for ‘Luis,’ steps in to remove the threat that could expose everything about ‘Luis.’ ‘Sandra Ortega’ even ensures to take the investigation on a different path as she hides the evidence and shifts the suspicion to the innocent people, including ‘Gines,’ who had doubts about his superior.

‘Helena’ was attacked by someone who wanted to keep her safe

Apart from ‘Celia’s’ kidnapping, another important event in Oasis is the attack on ‘Helena.’ ‘Dani’ and ‘Celia’ start observing every small thing from this point while they investigate the mystery behind what happened to ‘Helena.’ It is later revealed that ‘Jaen’ was the one involved in the attack. After ‘Jaen’ is taken into custody, he informs ‘Helena’ that she witnessed him doing a drug deal, and he had no other option but to drug her. ‘Jaen’ tells her that his aim was her safety because he did not want ‘Helena’ to hurt herself.

While ‘Jaen’ is initially believed to be a suspect in ‘Celia’s’ kidnapping, it is not the truth. On the other hand, ‘Sub-Inspector Gines’ is spotted going after ‘Dani’ and ‘Helena,’ which unexpectedly makes him a suspect in the case. When ‘Dani’ and ‘Helena’ inform ‘Sandra Ortega’ about ‘Gines,’ they search the trunk of his vehicle, where they find a bangle that belongs to ‘Celia.’ Although ‘Gines’ is in custody, a worker named ‘Aurora’ reveals that there was a cigarette butt in the room where everyone was investigated. The cigarette butt was found after ‘Gines’s’ arrest, which means that the culprit is someone else.

‘Celia’s’ friendship helps in her rescue after being kidnapped

‘Dani’ and ‘Helena’s’ investigation slowly resolves the mystery behind ‘Celia’s’ kidnapping. The duo is close to the truth, and at the same time, ‘Sandra’ finds that her plan is not working anymore. ‘Luis’ then tries to convince ‘Sandra’ to leave his daughter. However, ‘Sandra’ decides to save herself in any way possible and knocks out ‘Luis.’ ‘Celia’ is eventually saved by her friends when ‘Sandra’ is about to shoot her. 

Notably, ‘Dani’ and ‘Helena’ also help in the rescue plan, leading to the arrest of ‘Sandra’ and everyone else involved in the drug trafficking crime. In between all these, the fate of ‘Luis’ remains unknown. Although the end has hinted that he might be punished for his involvement in the drug trafficking crime, nothing has been revealed directly on screen.

Once all the chaos is over, everyone is back to their normal lives. ‘Maca’ and ‘Pablo’ decide to go their separate ways. ‘Jon’ is surprised to hear from ‘Leo’ that she is having an affair with his father. Moreover, ‘Leo’ also revealed everything about her fake pregnancy to ‘Felipe.’ ‘Oliver’ makes a deal with ‘Laura’s’ grandmother, promising that he will never reveal her health issues to ‘Laura’ if she does not sell her company. However, the deal is a part of a scam planned by ‘Oliver.’
