The teen, known for her extreme makeovers, has yet again made it to the limelight, and this time netizens are stunned as North doesn't remotely look like herself. The internet has always been divided over her looks, but this time, with her 'new nose' and different makeup, they think that things have gone way out of hand.
North West looks unrecognizable with her "new nose"
North West has sparked debate amongst her fans once again after debuting a bold new look in a video posted to her TikTok page. For the unversed, the page is allegedly managed by North's mother, Kim Kardashian. This is not the first time North has left everyone stunned, with many pointing fingers at Kim for allowing her to make such extreme changes.
It all began when the 13-year-old shared a video on her TikTok. North West looked so different in the clip, which saw her lip-syncing to Rihanna's hit song, SOS, while wearing an intricate black leather outfit with a high collar and silver chain detailing. She wore a bright blue wig with hair that reached her legs and overlined her lips with bold black lip liner.
North also appeared to sport a grill that made her teeth appear black and spiked. However, it was her heavy nose contour that sparked conversation in the comment section. It didn't take long for netizens to point fingers at North's parents, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, calling them out for "ruining" her childhood and being "sick and neglectful". While many pointed out that it was just a different makeup look, netizens were still unhappy with the video.
A user penned, "My goodness, what's happening to her?" Another wrote, "Her contouring her beautiful nose is making me really upset. What is happening here?" A comment read, "Poor kid, she got influenced by her relatives to believe her face is not pretty enough as it is. Bad parenting." Other fans rushed to North's defense, with one writing: "Y'all obviously didn't have an alt phase when you were 13…of course she wants to express herself." A user chimed in: "I think you're all mad because she actually has a personality. She's cool."
North West and her unique style
This is not the first time North West has made headlines for her appearance. She had previously sparked debate with her bevy of piercings and love of bold hair colors. She opened up about her unique style to Dazed, sharing that piercings "just make you your full self". She added:
"I really want to get my bridge pierced, but I'm not allowed. Everyone's in love with boys, vaping and doing all kinds of bad stuff. All I want is blue hair and piercings."
North West's mother, Kim Kardashian, has also spoken at length about her daughter's eclectic style. Kim shared that North was really mature for her age and doesn't care what others think of her appearance. The reality TV star reflected on her daughter's confident self during her appearance on Call Her Daddy and said, "As a mom, you're kind of like learning at the same time." She also talked about North during an interview with Complex Style and said:
"She teaches me a lot. She has a really unique style. She puts me on to so many brands, like she just loves what she loves. And it's just really fun to see someone be so creative. And also knows herself so much. All of her friends were getting really girly outfits, and she tried it with me once. And she wore something that was really girly. And she was like, 'Whoa, wait, this isn't me. I just get that I love dressing a little bit more tomboy-ish.' And she loves her T-shirts and her jerseys and her jorts."
