Niti Taylor talks about her shocking casting couch experience

Over the years, Niti stayed away from the South Indian film industry, and she recently talked about facing a bitter casting couch experience. Speaking to Hauterrfly, Niti Taylor revealed that a director once offered her a film and gave her the condition of sleeping with him.

The actress was left shocked by the director's demand, and not knowing what to do, she immediately hung up the call and deleted the director's number. Niti blocked the director, who, she said, held a senior position. She called her mom instantly and burst into tears. According to Niti, the director had misbehaved with other female actors in the industry. However, she never imagined something like this would be demanded of her. This was the main reason that Niti decided to stay away from the South Indian industry.

Niti Taylor talked about her years-long acting journey

For the unversed, Niti Taylor has been in the industry for several years now; however, she has had her fair share of struggles. Speaking of how she kickstarted her career, it was not her first plan. She came to Mumbai to apply to a college; however, she later got a call from Balaji Telefilms.

Niti Taylor thought it was the wrong number and revealed that she was from Delhi. As the team insisted, she gave an audition and instantly bagged a role. Soon, Niti realised she wanted to act and went in that direction. Her project, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan , turned out to be a massive hit, but that doesn't mean that the journey of the actress has been easy.

Niti had to face common issues actors and actresses often face, rejection, being replaced, and projects being shelved, among others. However, according to her, she works for what makes her happy, not to impress others. For the unversed, Niti is a 'blue baby ' who flatlined a few months after being born; however, she fought her way back to life, and this keeps the actress believing she can overcome any odds in life.

Niti Taylor got married to Parikshit Bawa, an army officer, in 2020. In an interview with TOI, she was asked whether getting married affected her career. To this, she said that her husband is her biggest supporter, while also mentioning that her career actually improved following her wedding. The actress was asked whether, after marriage, things have changed for her. To this, Niti said that she will not do any intimate scenes now. Sharing more about the same, Niti said:

"I am not open to doing intimate scenes. I’ve a very simple mantra in life. If I can’t see him doing something I’ll not do it either."
