Indian billionaire, Mukesh Ambani's loving wife, Nita Ambani needs no introduction. She is the director of Reliance Industries and also a profound dancer and a philanthropist. Not only that, she has immense love and respect for Indian culture and art. Thus, the businesswoman's works are dedicated to the field of education and Indian heritage. Now, as she attended the special preview of an Indian art exhibition on foreign soil, she didn't miss the chance to make her countrymen proud yet again.

On July 17, 2023, Nita Ambani attended the special preview of the early Buddhist art exhibition 'Tree & Serpent: Early Buddhist Art in India, 200 BCE–400 CE' at Met Museum in New York. The exhibition will be showcased from July 21, 2023, to November 13, 2023, at The Met Fifth Avenue of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Along with Nita Ambani, the event was attended by many eminent personalities, including the US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, India's Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Consul General of India in New York, Randhir Jaiswal.

Talking about the exhibition, it will showcase over 140 objects highlighting the pre-Buddhist origins in India - dating from 200 BCE to 400 CE. As per reports, earlier, to plan the four-month-long exhibition, Reliance Industries Limited, The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Global, and the Fred Eychaner Fund joined hands. And after the special preview, a reception was held to celebrate the exhibition's opening. For the unversed, the eminent businesswoman, Nita has been a crucial part of the Met Museum since 2016, and in November 2019, she was named an Honorary Trustee and a member of the Met's International Council. With this, Nita became the first Indian to be on the museum’s board of trustees.

Much ahead of launching the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in 2023, the 59-year-old gorgeousness, Nita Ambani has been highly vocal about preserving and promoting India's heritage through her various philanthropic works. Once again, she took India's heritage and diversity at the global level, and it's indeed a proud moment. After the inauguration of the exhibition, Nita addressed India as 'the land of Buddha', and requested everyone present on the occasion to join her in chanting the sacred mantra of 'Buddham Sharanam Gachhami'.

Nita Ambani flaunted the traditional Indian attire on the global platform

For the special preview of the early Buddhist art exhibition at Met Museum in New York, Nita Ambani wore a gorgeous black-hued saree with vibrant rani pink-hued borders. She teamed her saree with a black-hued blouse with golden embroidery featuring intricate Indian designs. She teamed her look with glam makeup, including blushed cheeks, pink-tinted lips, kohl-rimmed eyes and a bindi. Nita kept her hair open, and altogether, she radiated elegance.
