A NIFT graduate, Karan Mehra had gotten an opportunity to work as a stylist for his future wife, Nisha Rawal’s debut film, Hastey Hastey in 2008 and as the shoot progressed, friendship and love eventually brewed between them. Karan had planned a romantic fairytale proposal for his ladylove as he had got down on his knees to pop up the question in front of the media, his close friends and both their families. After dating for over 5 years, Karan and Nisha had tied the knot in November 2012 and are now proud parents to their little cheesecake, Kavish Mehra.
On September 10, 2019, Karan Mehra had turned 37 and his wife, Nisha Rawal had posted three pictures from their couple photoshoot. Her first post was captioned as “It’s your birthday my darling. U r that unseen spirit that lives in my body, that flows through my veins, that beats through my heart, that breathes through my lungs! Every wish that I wish for you shall be less! May the Universe give everything to you before u ask. Nisha Rawal penned down the second birthday picture for her darling hubby, Karan Mehra, “My world freezes when you look at me! #HappyBirthdayKaranMehra.” And her final photo was worded as “One more...coz it’s ur birthday and I think I look cute #HappyBirthdayBebu.” But looks like the wifey couldn’t keep calm as it was her hubby’s birthday and in a video shared by her a few hours back, we could see the Mehra family’s madness galore. Elaborating on how it was love at first sight for him, Karan Mehra had shared in an interview, "It was love at first sight. Nisha is a beautiful soul. She understands me totally and is a perfect life partner. She is a driving force in my life and tries to keep a positive attitude in me, even under stress.” Addressing himself as lucky to have Nisha in his life, Karan had remarked, “Nisha is the perfect partner who understands me totally. I feel lucky to have her in my life.”
Nisha Rawal too, has always been all praises for Karan Mehra, and believes that her husband has all the ‘qualities of a dream man’. Nisha had stated, “Karan is a much disciplined guy and has all the qualities of a dream man. He is also very caring by nature. We complement each other.”
Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal had embraced parenthood for the first time on June 14, 2016, and this year, their little bundle of joy, Kavish Mehra had completed two years in this beautiful world. For his second birthday, Kavish’s mommy, Nisha had posted a beautiful picture of the awesome-threesome family along with a heartfelt message for her little boy. She had captioned the picture as “To the little wonder who was made by God to make our life worthwhile, who made me ‘Mommy’ who made my better-half, ‘Daddy’, who blessed us with purity and substance like never-felt-before, who makes us complete and so u deserve to be celebrated my love, Happy Birthday Littloo @kavishmehra.”
Daddy Karan Mehra too, had posted a beautiful message for his munchkin, which could be read as "The sound of your “TO YOU” shall always resonate in my ears till I breathe my last. Happy Birthday To You #kavishmehraturnstwo." Another series of pictures from his birthday celebration was posted on Kavish Mehra's official Instagram page. Karan Mehra had once revealed why they had zeroed down on Kavish as his name. He had shared, “It's a derivation of our names. We were trying to amalgamate it since a long time. But we were forced into this situation one day when we were asked a name by the hospital and we had to give a name immediately for the birth certificate. So we decided upon this soon. Well, Kavish means king of poets and it also is another name of Lord Ganesh. We also perceived it in the way of a 'wish', like Karan and Nisha Ka wish is 'Kavish'.
