Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner were murdered on December 14, 2025. The couple was found dead at their home, and it was their son, Nick Reiner, who was charged with the murder of his parents. Rob Reiner, one of the greatest filmmakers, recently received a tribute from Nikki Glaser as she hosted the Golden Globe Awards 2026. The Golden Globe Awards took place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif, and Nikki Glaser returned as the host of the show for the second time in a row.

To pay tribute to Rob Reiner, Nikki Glaser wore a cap with the logo of the fictional Spinal Tap band, which could be seen in Rob Reiner’s 1984 music industry mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap. Along with wearing the cap, Nikki said, "Well, that’s our show. This one went to 11." Well, this was a reference to a famous scene of the film, which featured Rob Reiner as 'Marty DiBergi', a documentary filmmaker interviewing guitarist Nigel Tufnel.

The interview was about an amplifier whose volume goes to 11, instead of 10. This was an adorable way of Nikki to pay tribute to the late filmmaker, Rob Riner, whose demise, along with that of his wife, Michele, sent out shockwaves around. Nick Reiner, Rob and Michele's son, had a history of battling with drug addiction, and reportedly, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia just weeks before he killed his parents.

He reportedly fought with his parents the day before he killed them. Currently, he is at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles, where he is being medically evaluated, and reportedly, he is being monitored every 15 minutes. This entire incident remained a shock to the entire glamour world.

Nikki Glaser not only paid tribute to Rob Reiner, but she also turned out to be the queen of monologue at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards. The award show was joined by Leonardo DiCaprio, who has a history, well speculated to date younger women. With Nikki being the host of the award, a jibe was taken at Leonardo, but it was a playful one. The actor who was a nominee for One Battle After Another was addressed, and Nikki praised him for his outstanding professional career.

Well, she also added that Leonardo could be able to achieve everything by the time his girlfriend turned 30, and it instantly broke the headlines. She later also apologised for her joke while adding that nothing is known about the actor, except for the fact that he likes pasta. Well, the actor took the banter in a lighthearted manner, as he looked visibly amused with the comment that Nikki made. Niki said:

"What a career you have had. Countless iconic performances. You’ve worked with every great director, you’ve won three Golden Globes and an Oscar. The most impressive thing is that you were able to accomplish that all before your girlfriend turned 30. Leo, I’m sorry I made that joke. It is cheap. I tried not to, but, like, we don’t know anything else about you, man."
