Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s split after 19 years of marriage came as a shock to many. The couple had confirmed their separation in September 2025 and granted a divorce in January 2026. However, despite her much-talked-about split from country singer Keith Urban, Nicole is still living in Nashville, and the actress shared the reason.
Nicole Kidman has been a Nashville resident for nearly two decades, as she purchased a mansion there in 2008, soon after getting married to Keith Urban. However, despite her divorce from Keith, Nicole has no plans to move from the place. In an interview with Variety, the actress spoke about the same and revealed that she had raised the couple’s two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, there, and the place is special for her.

Nicole had previously heaped praises on the country music capital and revealed being very happy to live there. After her divorce, Nicole decided to stay there for the sake of her family, especially her daughters, whom she co-parents with Keith Urban. Speaking about the same, she said:
“We have our life here. I’m part of the city and community for 20 years. It’s my home.”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were one of the most popular and high-profile couples in Hollywood. However, their love story came to an end when they decided to split after 19-years of marital bliss. Keith and Nicole’s divorce was settled in January 2026. If insider accounts are to be believed, Kidman and Urban's separation had been in motion for quite some time.

The estranged couple had reportedly been living apart since early summer 2025, long before rumours of marital tension surfaced online. While the announcement of their split made headlines, an insider noted that Kidman did not initially want the marriage to end and had been trying to work through their issues. However, it was alleged that it was Keith who had moved out of their family home.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, both Kidman and Urban waived all rights to child and spousal support in the divorce settlement. Each party has agreed to cover its own legal fees and expenses, citing monthly incomes reportedly exceeding USD 100,000 each. Additionally, there is no information about a prenuptial agreement. The court also clarified that both parties will retain the property that they currently possess and split the remaining assets.

Keith and Nicole share two daughters, and as per the new parenting plan, the girls will primarily stay at the actress's residence for 306 days of the year, while the singer has been granted 59 days annually, with visitation scheduled for every other weekend.
