With “Taken.. With all my heart and soul..” and “Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love.”, lovebirds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas made their relationship official after all the hide-n-seek. The couple has been the talk of the town for quite a few months now, PeeCee and Nick waited for the right time to make things official. While we were yet to get over their mushy PDAs and 'all-hearts' captions, Nick decided to make us gush with his cuteness. As soon as they shared this much-awaited news with the world on social media, Nick decided to flirt with his fiancé on the post. PeeCee shared their candid ‘newly-engaged’ picture on her Instagram handle and captioned it, “Taken.. With all my heart and soul..”. And Mr Jonas left the comment, "Wow congrats... He's the luckiest guy in the world" on it.
Nick popped the question to his lady-love Priyanka on her 36th birthday in London and had apparently shut down the entire Tiffany and Co store to select the ring for her. These past few months have indeed been the happiest days of Priyanka and Nick’s lives. American singing sensation, Nick Jonas and B-town’s desi girl, Priyanka Chopra reportedly dated for almost a year before making it official.
Before their roka ceremony, the rumours of Priyanka and Nick’s courtship floated in the media when the duo started spending time together and accompanied each other to several countries. It all started with Met Gala in 2017, where they arrived together and post the event, the news of them being the new ‘it’ couple came into the limelight.
At an American TV show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host Jimmy Kimmel took a dig at the couple’s age difference – PeeCee being 35 and Nick being 25. To which Priyanka retorted, “Yeah, we were on the same table and we already know each other. So he was like ‘Hey, you wanna go together?’ And I was like yeah, OK, let’s go together. It ended up working out.” Later Priyanka and Nick walked arm in arm at his cousin’s wedding in New Jersey, where she met his family. And in June 2018, Nick made a short visit to India where he met Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra and even went on a Goa trip with her cousin Parineeti Chopra and other close family members. Talking about his India experience, Priyanka was cited as saying, “We’re getting to know each other and I think it was a great experience for him. That’s what he said. I think he really enjoyed it. It was really beautiful. He had a great time.”
Priyanka even shared an Insta story of her brother, Siddharth Chopra with Nick on a Goa beach with the caption, “My Favourite Men”. And Nick shared an Insta story of his lady-love Priyanka enjoying Mumbai rains, and captioned it, ‘Her’ with a heart emoticon. From meeting each other’s families and winning their hearts to being spotted on romantic dates as well as double dates in London with Jonas’ brother, Joe and his fiancée, Sophie Turner, it’s been a whirlwind romance for Nickyanka (as fans fondly call them).
At an event in Delhi, when Priyanka was asked about her relationship with Nick, the Quantico star replied, “My personal life is not for public consumption. 90% of my life is for public consumption but 10% is for me. I am a girl and I have the right to keep that to myself. My family, friendship, my relationships are things I don't think I need to defend or explain it to anyone.
