Love Island: Beyond the Villa is back with Season 2, and fans have been over the moon to see their favourite 'Islanders' back on the TV screens. However, some faces from Season 7 have remained notably absent from the show. As Love Island: Beyond the Villa returns to Peacock, the spotlight has been on the cast of Season 7, who returned home in July 2025. Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen, the runners-up whose chemistry sparked an internet debate and earned them the nickname "Nicolandria", as well as Huda Mustafa, were absent from the group and here's why.
Fans were quick to notice Nic, Olandria and Huda being absent from Love Island: Beyond the Villa. However, neither has officially confirmed as to why they aren't participating in the show. Nonetheless, it's safe to say that the trio has been busy with other ventures in recent months, which could have contributed to their absence. According to a Glamour report, Nic has been building a career in the music industry under his DJ name, Nic Vans. The 'Islander' has also been dabbling in acting. During an appearance on the Roommates Show in December 2025, he stated that he wouldn't go on Love Island USA again, but it was more because he was trying to get cast on ABC's Dancing with the Stars next.

Olandria, on the other hand, has been pursuing a career in modelling, including her debut at New York Fashion Week in September 2025. Fans even got a sneak peek of Nic in the audience at the time. Since Olandria has appeared in campaigns for brands like Reebok and Ugg, and collaborating with a number of brands on partnerships. In a conversation with Glamour back in December 2026, she reflected on her career and stated:
"I'm not going to lie, I'm booked up until May, but I don't like to say things prematurely. I like to pop out when I pop out. But it's some really exciting things that I have coming up within the year."

Talking about Huda, she also walked the runway during New York Fashion Week and has been teasing on Instagram that she might drop new music soon. She has also been a part of the debut case of Alex Cooper's new reality competition series, Unwell Winter Games, which premiered on the Unwell YouTube channel on April 6, 2026.

It has been over eight months since Nic and Olandria said goodbye to the Villa, and luckily, they seem to be going stronger than ever. The couple has even done a series of brand collaborations and advertisements together since leaving the villa, has been spotted on nights out, and has also attended the Super Bowl in February 2026, further confirming that all is well between the couple. During their December 2025 conversation with Glamour, the couple reflected on the scrutiny they faced in their relationship and stated:

"We always have check-ins, like, 'How's your mental? How are you today? I'm always here. I wish we didn't have to do that as much as we had to. Thank God we've got each other, because I don't know what we would do without each other, literally, when it comes to that."
After an extremely heated breakup with Chris Seeley on the Love Island USA Season 7 finale and returning home alone, Huda allegedly began dating Too Hot to Handle alum, Louis Russell. They went on the red carpet officially less than two weeks after the filming was wrapped. However, when Huda was asked about her relationship during the Love Island USA Season 7 Reunion, she said she couldn't discuss her "relationships outside the villa" for "legal reasons" related to Netflix, as the finale of The Perfect Match Season 3, which Louis was on, hadn't aired at the time.

However, the couple was extremely public about their relationship in the months that followed. According to PEOPLE, it was in March 2026 when Huda was ordered to temporarily stay away from Luis Russell's ex, Nicole Olivera and the former couple's son, Luka-Kai, after she was accused of making threats against them in March 2026. Huda was required to stay at least 100 yards away from Olivera and her son until the case was heard in court on April 3, 2026, but the status of the restraining order is unclear.
While Nic, Olandria and Huda will not be on Love Island: Beyond the Villa, there are several other Season 7 cast members who are participating, including Season 7 winners, Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales, who confirmed their split just a few days after the reunion aired. Jeremiah Brown, Hannah Fields, Pepe Garcia, Iris Kendall, TJ Palma, Clarke Carraway, Taylor Williams and Belle-A Walker will also be making an appearance on Love Island: Beyond the Villa Season 2.
