NFL On Netflix: Live Schedule, Matchups, Kickoff And When To Watch The 2026 Season? Details Inside

The NFL season is officially here, and this time, Netflix is making sure to enhance the regular-season viewing experience. Football fans worldwide can now watch games live through the streaming giant's NFL slate; its historic matchup in Australia will continue through Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Day, Week 18, and NFL Honors in February 2027.

For fans wondering what games are coming to Netflix, here’s the complete schedule currently announced, including matchups, kickoff times, and more!

NFL Week 1 kicked off with the 49ers vs Rams; complete match schedule revealed

Netflix’s 2026 NFL coverage began Thursday, September 10, 2026, with the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Los Angeles Rams at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia (now streaming live). The matchup marks the NFL’s first-ever regular-season game in Australia. 

The game is at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia, kicking off at 8:35 p.m. ET / 5:35 p.m. PT. For Indian football fans keeping tabs, the match started at 6:05 a.m. IST on Friday, September 11. The Australia opener is also available as a dedicated Netflix title, NFL Melbourne Game: 49ers vs Rams. 

The opening game has already delivered plenty of action. The 49ers took an early lead before the Rams responded with a Kyren Williams touchdown following a 41-yard reception by Puka Nacua. Brock Purdy then put  San Francisco back in front with a 39-yard touchdown pass to Demarcus Robinson, leaving the game tightly contested in the second quarter. At the time of this reporting (halftime break), the 49ers are leading the Rams 17-7. The halftime show featured an electrifying performance by the Jonas Brothers, with hits like Burnin' Up, Sucker, and Year 3000 setting the MCG abuzz.

The streamer has several marquee dates spread throughout the season. Next on the list is the Melbourne matchup, titled on Netflix as NFL Melbourne Game: 49ers vs Rams. The NFL coverage returns later in the season for a special Thanksgiving Eve matchup. On November 25, 2026, the Green Bay Packers will travel to California to face the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. The kickoff time has not been announced yet.

Netflix's biggest holiday offering arrives on Christmas Day 2026. The Green Bay Packers will visit Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears on Friday, Dec. 25, in a historic NFC North rivalry game. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT), and the game will stream live on Netflix.

Given the long-standing rivalry between the Packers and Bears, their Christmas Eve faceoff will definitely be a suitable boost to the holiday spirit. Later that same day, Netflix will stream another AFC showdown when the Buffalo Bills travel to Denver to face the Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. ET, or 1:30 p.m. PT, giving Netflix subscribers a second NFL game to watch on Christmas afternoon.

Netflix's NFL coverage will continue into Week 18, when the regular season reaches its final weekend. The streaming service is scheduled to carry a game on Saturday, January 9, 2027, at 1 p.m. ET, or 10 a.m. PT. The teams involved have not yet been determined, meaning the matchup will be revealed later in the season.

Netflix's NFL relationship will then continue into Super Bowl week with NFL Honors in February 2027. The annual awards ceremony celebrates the league’s top performers and accomplishments from the season. The exact date, time, and location are yet to be disclosed, but the event will be streamed live on Netflix.

Who are the hosts of the NFL this year?

Netflix has assembled a recognizable broadcast team for its 2026 NFL coverage. Leading the pregame is Elle Duncan, who will also lead the halftime and postgame studio coverage. Joining her will be three Super Bowl winners: Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin, former Super Bowl MVP quarterback Nick Foles, and six-time Pro Bowl linebacker Clay Matthews III.

Noah Eagle will handle the live game broadcast play-by-play, while former Carolina Panthers All-Pro linebacker and 2026 Hall of Fame inductee Luke Kuechly will be joining him as the booth analyst. For sideline reporting, expect faces like Tom Pelissero, MJ Acosta-Ruiz, and Terry McAulay. 

Best of all, subscribers won’t have to pay extra. These select games will be available on Netflix directly for Netflix subscribers. More details will be released on the streamer’s official platform, Tudum, as the season progresses.
