Sonam Kapoor is on cloud nine as she is celebrating her first Diwali with her hubby, Anand Ahuja and their newborn, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. She became a baby boy's mother on August 20, 2022, and right after 60 days of his birth, the diva flipped back towards her professional commitments.

Even after being a working mother, Sonam takes care of every little need of her baby. From breastfeeding Vayu between her makeup schedules to picking the best ethnic attires for him, Sonam is indeed the perfect Gen-Z mum. This time, she celebrated Diwali and glimpses from the same are unmissable.

On October 24, 2022, taking to her IG handle, Sonam Kapoor shared a series of pictures from her Diwali celebration. In the picture, Sonam looked beautiful in a regal ivory anarkali paired with a red-hued silk dupatta. Statement earrings, open tresses and glam makeup completed her Diwali look. On the other hand, her hubby, Anand Ahuja, looked dapper in a black and white kurta pyjama

Earlier, in an interview with Vogue India, Sonam Kapoor had recalled her life's most memorable moment when she found out about her first pregnancy. Though Sonam’s hubby, Anand Ahuja, was diagnosed with Covid-19, she had shared the ‘good news’ with him over a video call. Sonam could be quoted as narrating:

“I found out I was pregnant on Christmas Day. Anand was in the other room of our London apartment since he had Covid-19 and I basically Zoomed (video called) him and gave him the news. Then we called our parents and told them as well.”

In the same conversation, Sonam had shared her feelings about becoming a first-time parent. Calling the decision of giving birth to a child  ‘selfish’, she had said:

“Priorities do change, and I think that the child will become mine. The truth of the matter is that they didn’t choose to come into this world. You decided to bring them here, so it’s a very selfish decision.”

Here’s wishing a happy Diwali to Sonam Kapoor.
