Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi are going through a difficult phase as the latter's father, Bishan Singh Bedi passed away in Delhi. It came as a shock for the Bedi family, but Angad and Neha stayed strong for the entire family. Days after, Bishan Singh Bedi's demise, Neha penned a heartwrenching note on how life won't be the same after her father-in-law's death. She also shared unseen family pictures with him, and it featured her kids having fun with their dadu.
On October 31, 2023, Neha took to her Instagram handle and posted a couple of pictures with her late father-in-law. Along with it, Neha penned a note on how they are trying to cope with the 'numbness' they have been feeling after Bishan Singh Bedi's death. She added that they have been holding onto all the teaching and lessons her father-in-law gave them. She wrote:
"We hold on to everything you gave us … the morals the memories, the love the laughs the lessons, the strength and the sweetness … we have you in our heads and hearts forever as we inch back and try and get some life into the numbness we feel right now. . . Love you Dad."

Not just Angad, Neha also resumed her work commitments within days of her father-in-law's demise. She hosted the opening night of the Jio MAMI Film Festival in Mumbai. The actress donned a monochrome ensemble. However, she donned a black band on her arms, which was her way of giving tribute to her father-in-law, Bishan Singh Bedi.
For the unversed, Bishan Singh Bedi had undergone multiple surgeries in the last two years, including one on the knee about a month ago. His sudden demise left the entire Bedi family in shock. Bishan Singh Bedi's funeral was attended by several cricket personalities including Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Mohammad Azharuddin, and Kapil Dev. We also spotted actress, Sharmila Tagore paying her homage to him. We also spotted Bishan Singh Bedi's son, Angad Bedi and his daughter-in-law, Neha Dhupia as they bid goodbye to their father.
It took a lot of courage for the Bedi family to restart life, especially, Angad. He had to take part in the Open International Masters 2023 Athletics Championship, within just five days of his father's death. The actor shared his experience on his IG handle, with a video of the same. Along with it, he penned a note and bared his heart out and revealed how he had no strength and wasn't in form to perform. But somehow, he managed to win. He had written:
"Didnt have the heart.. didnt have the courage. Body wasnt willing.. Nor was the mind. But an external force from up above made me pull through.. not my best time. Not my best form but some how we did it. This gold medal will always be my most special. Thank you Dad for being with me. I miss you. Your son."
