Angad Bedi and his wife, Neha Dhupia and their entire family are in utter shock as former Indian cricket team's captain, Bishan Singh Bedi passed away at theage of 77. He was in Delhi, where he took his last breath. According to reports, Bedi was suffering from a prolong illness for the last two years. On October 24, 2023, the family bid him goodbye as they hosted his funeral.
For the unversed, Bishan Bedi had undergone multiple surgeries in the last two years including one on the knee about a month ago. His sudden demise left the entire Bedi family in shock. Bishan Singh Bedi's funeral was attended by several cricket personalities including Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Mohammad Azharuddin, and Kapil Dev. We also spotted actress, Sharmila Tagore paying her homage to him. We also spotted Bishan Singh Bedi's son, Angad Bedi and his daughter-in-law, Neha Dhupia as they bid goodbye to their father.

Angad Bedi has released a statement after the demise of his father, Bishan Singh Bedi, which was reshared by Neha Dhupia. The family revealed that he bowled them as they had not even thought of it. He wrote:
"Isn’t it completely in Dad’s character to bowl us over with the ultimate spin ball, one that even we never saw coming. While we are in shock and overcome with grief, we find solace in knowing that he lived a rich, fearless and full life that inspired many. We are moved by each and every message of love we have received, publicly and personally."
