Neena Gupta's zest for life has always awestruck her fans in particular and the common people in general. Right from the early days, the veteran actress has been inspiring us with her life decisions. She has not only reinvented herself with the kind of movies she does but her personal life and courage have also inspired many girls out there. Despite being involved in a lot of controversies, she has handled them very gracefully.
Neena Gupta had chosen to be a single mother for most of her life. She had given birth to her daughter, Masaba Gupta, who was conceived out of wedlock when Neena was in a relationship with the former West Indies cricketer, Vivian Richards. In her autobiography, Sach Kahun Toh, Neena Gupta has shared an uncut and unfiltered version of her life. She also revealed the reason behind refusing all the marriage proposals that she used to receive while she was pregnant with Masaba.
In her autobiography, Sach Kahun Toh, Neena has written extensively about the hardships of being a single mother. She even revealed that she had denied all the marriage proposals that she had received during her pregnancy. She stated, "I was too proud of myself. I said I will not marry because I need a name, because I will get money. Like about this person who is gay. That was offered to me, that 'you will get a name and you do what you want'. I would never do that. "
The veteran actress has also shared that she was still attached to Vivian Richards and stated that she and Masaba would spend time with him. She had said, "I was still attached to Vivian, although we met very seldom. But there was a connection with Masaba also. We used to go for holidays together sometimes and whatever time Masaba spent with him was nice. There was no problem because we were away from his house."
However, Neena Gupta had found love in the Delhi-based chartered accountant, Vivek Mehra and the duo had tied the knot in an intimate affair in the United States in 2008. Vivek and Neena share quite a good bond. Moreover, Masaba is also very much fond of Vivek, as the duo had stated in an interview with ETimes. When Vivek was asked about his equation with Masaba he had said, "I am helping her with her work and we trust each other and I am quite a likeable guy."
No doubt, Neena Gupta has very gracefully raised Masaba single-handedly, who is an ace-designer now.
