Mom-To-Be Natalie Portman Once Recalled Walking In Heels Being 4-Months Pregnant, 'Going Upstairs..'

Oscar-winner Natalie Portman announced that she is all set to welcome her third child. For the unversed, Natalie is a mom to two kids, son Aleph and daughter Amalia, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Benjamin Millepied.

On April 18, 2026, Natalie announced that she is expecting her first child with her beau, Tanguy Destable. As 44-year-old Natalie is expecting, her fans remained thrilled with the good news. Natalie Portman reveals wearing heels to the Oscars while being 4 months pregnant

Natalie Portman and Tanguy Destable have been together since March 2025, and as the couple is now counting days to welcome their first (actress's third) child to the world, they are extremely excited. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar, Natalie said that she's really very excited, and so is her baby daddy. She further mentioned that it's a 'miracle' and that she's very grateful.

It was in 2011, when Natalie Portman won the Academy Awards for her role in Black Swan, and to receive the honour for the same, she had to be present at the event. Natalie, back in 2011, was expecting her first child. Speaking to Motherly in 2023, Natalie recalled the moments and mentioned that she was four months pregnant back then, and people were saying to her things like she must be ready to pop.

Natalie added that she had five months still before delivering her baby, and she felt she was just huge. The gorgeous actress further mentioned that the process of getting ready was a bit challenging; well, unsurprisingly, she had to wear heels and go upstairs. As she was pregnant, wearing heels made her run the words 'don't fall' in her head. Natalie could be quoted as saying:

"I was four months pregnant, but everyone was like, ‘You must be ready to pop.’ And I was like, ‘I’ve got five months to go! I’m just huge.' It made it all the more precarious to be wearing heels and going upstairs. I was just like, ‘Don’t fall, don’t fall, don’t fall.’ That was all I was thinking about."

She further mentioned that being a mom eventually made her feel and see all the invisible things her own mom did to her. Expressing her gratitude, Portman said:

"I'm blessed by my kids who turned me into a mom and make me smile and laugh every single day. Who make me appreciate my mom even more for all the invisible things she did for me that I realize now as I try to live up to her mothering."
