Nara Smith revealed her two-year-old daughter is diagnosed with cancer
No parents should ever go through the pain of seeing their kids fall prey to cancer. Nara Smith is known for making short cooking videos in which she prepares meals from scratch while wearing gorgeous outfits and showing off her fashion and narrating the process in an intimate voice. On July 1, 2026, Nara revealed the reason she was posting less was due to her two-year-old daughter being diagnosed with cancer.

The 24-year-old Nara shared in an Instagram Reel that her two-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou, was diagnosed with cancer. It was a heart-wrenching moment for the mother, yet she acted calm while sharing details of her daughter's illness. She revealed that they found out about her health late last year. However, the influencer didn't share what kind of cancer Whimsy was diagnosed with or her condition.
Nara added that when she saw something suspicious on her, they took her to a paediatrician, and the doctor went quiet. She revealed that her heart dropped, and she had a gut feeling, or it was a mom's intuition, that told her it was cancer. She said:
"When we saw something suspicious on her, we took her to the ER and they didn't quite know what to make of it. When we took her into our paediatrician, I just remember him going really quiet and calm ... My heart dropped in that moment. I don't know whether it was my gut telling me something or just a mom's intuition, but the first thing that I felt was she has cancer."
When they took their daughter to the children's hospital, they found out the news. She revealed that it was after a lof ot x-rays, ultrasounds and later a biopsy, which revealed that their daughter had cancer. The doctors told them that it had spread and that she needed to start the treatment immediately. She said:
"After a lot of X-rays, ultrasounds and finally a biopsy, they immediately called us and said that she had cancer, told us it had spread and that she needs to come and start chemo treatments immediately."
Nara also revealed that she had talked to the parents and families going through a similar situation. She realised that she wasn't alone in this situation, and it has helped her in processing the matter despite the fact that it was hard for them as a family to navigate the difficult phase.
She also shared that it was the reason why she was posting less lately. She revealed that she has been navigating the tough postpartum time as she delivered her fourth child in 2025. The mother of four is busy looking after the other kids and also being with her daughter, Whimsy, in the hospital, while balancing work side by side.

As soon as Nara shared the post, her followers showered her with love. One user wrote, "Proof that we should always be kind to people online cause we don’t know a fraction of what they’re dealing with behind the screen. Praying for you and your family!" Another one commented, "Sending every ounce of positive healing energy to your daughter. I am so sorry to hear this; I cannot imagine what you are going through as parents. Prayers for absolute healing for your precious Whimsy. Blessings of strength for you all."
