"Nandhini… RIP Sathya’s DURGa You always used to say, “Swetha akka, we need to post nice pictures… beautifully dressed with good makeup,” and you never even allowed me to share these pics and moments but now —I never imagined those simple words spoken on our set would turn into such a painful memory."
Swetha further penned how they would laugh between shots and share secrets in the makeup room. She mentioned how they all loved and cared for her and tried their best to help her, but still she chose the hard part of ending her life. She was quoted as saying:
Our workspace was where we lived most of our days, laughing between shots, practicing reels & sharing secrets in the makeup room, and creating memories that felt so alive. On screen, we were Sathya and Durga, offscreen your little possessiveness over me, truly became so cute Swetha (Sathya) akka loved you so, so much you will always be the star of Gowri “My Durga”. I only wish you had held on a little longer— We tried, Nandhini, we cared, we loved you deeply, but you chose a heavy path… and this loss has left our hearts and our workplace shattered beyond words. Seeing you go was indigestible Rest in peace, my girl you will forever live in our hearts. Suicide is not the answer—please seek help, speak up, and hold on when things feel unbearable; you are never alone."
We pray for strength for Nandini's family in these testing times!
