Savannah Guthrie's 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie has been missing since nearly three months. For the unversed, Nancy was last seen on January 31, 2026, and her family members filed an official complaint when she failed to reach Church on February 1, 2026. Since the past few days, there have been multiple claims about the ongoing kidnapping case. Amid that, Nancy's neighbour has come forward and opened up about her.

Recently, NewsNation’s Brian Entin visited Nancy Guthrie’s area and spoke to one of her neighbour named Aldine, who opened up about Nancy’s kidnapping case and how the entire area has become quiet. Further, when Aldine was asked more about Nancy Guthrie amid her kidnapping case, she described her as "vivacious, kind, open, and nice." Nancy’s neighbour, Aldine was quoted as saying:

"It’s quiet, but there’s a sadness. We all miss Nancy. We all would love to know what happened. We think about it not getting solved. It’s a worry for all of us for sure. I don’t think it’s ever going to go away."

Recent updates in Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping case

To give a small recap in the ongoing Nancy Guthrie's kidnapping case, multiple reports claim that she was forcefully kidnapped from her home. According to a CCTV footage, a masked man was spotted outside Nancy's house, the day she disappeared. A few days ago, FBI authorities also revealed that experts are testing DNA samples.

It is worth mentioning that as of now no one has been arrested in the missing case. There have been claims of ransom messages; however, none of them are confirmed. As of now, multiple FBI officers have come forward and shared their theories. Recently, an ex-FBI Special Agent had a conversation with Brian Entin and explained:

"If they had significant information, they would have more progress on the case. I think what you would find is if you could go in and get briefed by four or five different agents who are working it, you would find so much information that ultimately turned out to be of little or no value, but seemed so, so promising at the time."

When Savannah Guthrie opened up about her mother’s missing case

A month ago, Savannah Guthrie, who is best-known as the anchor of Today show, gave her first interview after her mother, Nancy went missing. For the unversed, she had a conversation with Hoda Kotb and revealed that it was her sister, who first noticed about Nancy’s disappearance. Later, she mentioned that it was her brother named Camron, who first thought of kidnapping. He had called the family and informed them about the same.

During the same interview, when Savannah Guthrie was asked if the reason behind Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping is the former’s success, the Today host got emotional and shared that it is very difficult for her to believe that being a daughter, she brought such danger to her mother’s bedside. Savannah Guthrie was quoted as saying:

"I don’t know that it’s because she’s my mom and somebody thought, ‘Oh, that girl— that lady has money. We can … make a quick buck.’ I mean, that would make sense. But we don’t know. Which is too much to bear, to think that I brought this to her bedside. That it’s because of me."
