One of the most versatile actors in Indian cinema is Nana Patekar. Apart from being a stellar actor, he is also a screenwriter, filmmaker, and a former Territorial Army officer. To his credit, the actor has won three National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. He made his acting debut in Bollywood with the 1978 film, Gaman. Following this, he won millions of hearts with his performances in movies like Salaam Bombay, Parinda, Angaar, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Agni Sakshi, and many more.
However, time and again, Nana Patekar has been involved in several controversies, including Tanushree Dutta accusing him of sexual harassment during the shoot of the 2009 film, Horn 'Ok' Pleassss. Following this, he was entangled in the MeToo movement. Once again, a viral video of Nana doing rounds on social media, showed his rude and ruthless side when he smacked a fan, who tried to get a selfie.

Talking about the incident in detail, Nana Patekar was actually shooting a scene of one of his upcoming films on a busy street in Varanasi. In the video, Nana wore a brown blazer and a little lighter-shaded hat. Soon, a fan was seen approaching him with a mobile camera in his hand. The boy, dressed in a black T-shirt, was seen asking him for a selfie. However, Nana got furious at the fan's action and smacked him. Following this, reportedly, a crew member standing beside Nana was seen grabbing the boy by his neck and escorting him out from the frame.
As soon as Nana Patekar's video was uploaded on social media, netizens started slamming the actor for his action of slapping the fan. One user wrote, "Very sad I was a big fan of NP, but not anymore. Such behaviour is not acceptable. The director / producer should have enough security to stop anyone coming on the set, etc. Behaviour by NP is very bad, and I will blame the director and security staff, but I'm not a fan anymore.” Another one commented, “Or b beheter tarike h handle kerne k..kisi ko b marna manav aachran nai ho sakta..tabhi kehte h apne adarsh dekh bhal kr banana chaiye..vaise b ye log sirf abhineta h....hum logo ne hi inhen bhagwan bana rakha h...Jai Shree Ram."
